Aaron Lewis has just released a new acoustic-performance video for his song “Let’s Go Fishing,” which is part of his latest solo album, *The Hill*, out now via The Valory Music Co. The song, while seemingly about fishing, is actually a commentary on political and social issues in the U.S., reflecting Lewis’s perspective on the nation’s current state.

Lewis describes “Let’s Go Fishing” as a mix of frustration and country comfort, using a lighthearted approach to address serious issues. The track is co-written with Bobby Pinson and features themes that resonate with Lewis’s outspoken conservative views. The lyrics include references to “making America great again,” turning off CNN, and the “Let’s Go, Brandon!” slogan—a euphemism for “Fuck Joe Biden,” which originated from a NASCAR interview in 2021.

In his promotional post for the video, Lewis humorously acknowledges the contrast between the song’s title and its deeper message. He shared his appreciation for SKID ROW, reflecting on how their music influenced his own career, and hinted at an energetic performance ahead, declaring, “There will be blood left on the stage!”

Lewis’s political views have often been a topic of discussion. He made headlines in September 2021 when he encouraged fans to chant “Fuck Joe Biden” during a STAIND concert. His comments on media and political figures reflect his skepticism of mainstream narratives and align with his conservative stance. Lewis has expressed his distrust of mainstream news sources, preferring alternative platforms and commentators.

In addition to his political commentary, Lewis has voiced controversial opinions on topics such as COVID-19 treatments and the conflict in Ukraine. He claimed to have treated COVID-19 with ivermectin and has linked the Ukraine conflict to various conspiracy theories involving global elites.

*The Hill* follows his 2021 single “Am I The Only One,” which topped Billboard’s Hot Country chart and expressed similar political sentiments, including criticism of figures like Bruce Springsteen. Lewis’s music often intertwines with his political views, creating a distinct blend of personal and political commentary in his work.
