AC/DC is set to perform their long-awaited stadium tour from next year on 12th June starting at Munich Stadium, in Germany.

AC/DC, the iconic Australian rock band, is stirring up excitement with rumors of a European tour in 2024. The buzz began in an unexpected manner during a Munich city council meeting. Mayor Dieter Reiter casually mentioned that AC/DC is scheduled to electrify Munich’s Olympic Stadium with its legendary sound on June 12, next year. This revelation, though unintended, has sparked anticipation among fans and the music community alike. Mayor Reiter, realizing the surprise his announcement caused, humorously remarked, “I didn’t know it was supposed to be a secret.”

But the surprises don’t stop there. AC/DC is also rumored to be heading to Brazil. This speculation was fueled by their electrifying performance at California’s Power Trip Festival in early October, marking their first live appearance in seven years. Despite no official word from the band or their representatives, credible sources are buzzing. Notably, respected Brazilian journalist José Norberto Flesch, known for his insider knowledge on international concerts, teased on social media about AC/DC’s potential appearance at the renowned Rock In Rio festival in Rio De Janeiro in September 2024.

Adding to the excitement, Phil Rudd, AC/DC’s legendary drummer, hinted at his return to live performances. In a conversation with New Zealand’s Stuff, Rudd expressed his eagerness to reunite with the band on stage. This comes after his absence from the band’s festival gig, fueling further speculation about the band’s future plans.

AC/DC’s last tour, the ‘Rock Or Bust World Tour’ in 2016, faced several challenges. Notably, Rudd was replaced by Chris Slader, and for the first time since 1980, the band performed with a vocalist other than Brian Johnson. Johnson had to step back due to concerns about potential hearing loss. Axl Rose, of Guns N’ Roses fame, stepped in for the tour’s final dates. However, the recent Power Trip Festival saw Johnson rejoining his bandmates, signaling a strong comeback.

This rumored tour comes as a beacon of hope and excitement for rock enthusiasts. AC/DC, known for their high-energy performances and timeless hits, have left an indelible mark on the rock music landscape. Their potential return to the stage in Europe and Brazil is not just a series of concerts; it’s a celebration of resilience, legacy, and the undying spirit of rock ‘n’ roll. Fans around the world are holding their breath, waiting for official confirmation, and the chance to once again witness the electrifying magic of AC/DC live in concert.
