Alice Cooper and Sammy Hagar celebrated New Year’s Eve together, with Cooper playfully suggesting a surprising new career path for Hagar beyond music.
In a recent Instagram video, the two rock legends shared their New Year’s resolutions. Hagar captioned the clip: “A little pre-New Year’s Day verbal commitment between my buddy Alice Cooper and I. I don’t know about Alice, but I’m gonna blow it all out. New Year’s Eve… tomorrow’s another day.”
Cooper, known for his hit “School’s Out,” shared his resolution to go sober again. Meanwhile, Hagar, famously nicknamed the Red Rocker, said he aimed to “re-invent” himself. When Hagar jokingly asked what career he might pursue instead of singing, Cooper chimed in with creative ideas: “You’d be a chef. Or a novelist. Or maybe a novelist who writes about chefs. Or wait—” before Hagar cut him off and humorously dragged him aside.
The camaraderie between Hagar and Cooper extends far beyond this playful exchange. They’ve shared the stage, performing “School’s Out” together, and in 2022, Cooper recruited Hagar, Rob Zombie, and other artists for his 20th annual Christmas Pudding charity concert.
