In a recent interview, Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch shared his excitement about the band’s successful shows, crediting Gojira for their current momentum. “A lot has changed for Korn; we’re selling out shows like never before,” he said, noting their impressive average attendance of 15,000 to 20,000 fans across the U.S. this summer. Welch expressed gratitude to Gojira for their support, highlighting the numerous sellouts in Europe and the potential for headlining major festivals next year. “We’re experiencing a peak, and it’s been incredibly enjoyable.”

He also praised their management, which has a strong history with both Korn and System of a Down, emphasizing their deep passion for the band. Gojira, having gained notoriety after their Olympic performance, is happy to tour with Korn despite opening for them. “We’re thrilled to be part of this,” said vocalist Joe Duplantier. He acknowledged Korn’s influence on their music and the excitement of touring with bands that inspired them.

Gojira is beginning to headline more often as their fanbase grows, but Duplantier appreciates the opportunity to perform alongside Korn, who allows them the space to shine. The tour with Spiritbox kicked off on September 12 and will wrap up in St. Paul, MN, on October 27.
