Jaime Bennington, son of the late Chester Bennington, has recently been facing threats after revealing details about Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson’s decision to step back from touring. In a post shared by an Instagram account named Supporter of Jaime Bennington, Mike Shinoda’s comments about Delson’s departure were included. Shinoda had explained that Delson, as he got older, found touring less suitable, citing his dislike for noisy environments and acknowledging the different needs of introverts and extroverts. Delson’s rare public statement emphasized his preference for a quieter lifestyle, leading to his decision to focus on studio work and other behind-the-scenes roles in the band.
However, after sharing Shinoda’s statement, the account was met with serious threats from a fake account, which warned them to delete the post within two days or face consequences. Bennington reposted the threats on his Instagram, condemning such behavior as unacceptable. He urged his followers to report any similar threatening interactions.
Despite stepping back from touring, Delson remained deeply involved in Linkin Park’s creative process, contributing to the band’s work on their latest project, From Zero, while Alex Feder was brought in as the new touring guitarist.
Jaime’s message drew attention to the dangers of online harassment and emphasized the importance of standing up against such negativity.
