Chester Bennington’s son, Jaime Bennington, recently shared new information regarding a stalker who claimed to be possessed by Chester and was threatening his family. In a 45-minute Instagram video, Jaime revealed that the situation with the individual, known as “Quantum Lyricist,” had escalated. He explained that the stalker had been making videos about him and that he had taken steps for his own safety by reporting the threats and contacting the police.
“I reported her and I blocked her. I should not have any more problems with this person, but just for my own safety, I did report this to the police,” Jaime stated. He clarified that he would be submitting evidence of the threats made not just against him, but against others as well, noting that the threatening energy was present across the media he had reviewed.
Despite the severity of the situation, Jaime emphasized that he did not want anyone to retaliate against the individual. “I don’t want anybody attacking this person, I don’t want anybody doing anything necessary. We don’t promote hate, even if what she said was violent or gross,” he said. “It’s important to remember that everyone’s having a hard time right now.”
Jaime made it clear that he was not condoning the stalker’s actions, but he acknowledged that, after reviewing the content on the stalker’s page, he saw someone struggling. “I see somebody who may or may not be a victim of a number of things, someone who very clearly did want me to interact with them in a certain way,” Jaime explained. He added that, after what had happened, he felt it was necessary to report the situation to authorities and seek a protection order.
Jaime also shared that the stalker had posted on social media about being hospitalized, possibly due to a psychotic episode. “It does seem serious to them, it does seem like they are really going through something,” Jaime said. “They believe that they have been poisoned by lithium, that they are being attacked by the government. All things that are real things. I’m not saying that lithium poisoning is necessarily real, but we know that the government does some shady stuff.”
He concluded by acknowledging that some of the things the stalker discussed on social media might reflect real experiences, saying, “Some of the things they are talking about on social media are real. I am not going to tell you that what they may have gone through isn’t real.”
Earlier, Jaime had revealed that the stalker claimed to be possessed by Chester and made disturbing accusations, such as stating that Chester was proud of domestic violence and was transphobic. Jaime clarified that the person had been threatening him with death and insulting his wife, all because he didn’t listen to their Soundcloud music. He reaffirmed his stance against violent behavior in any form.
