In a recent interview with *Guitar World*, Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction expressed his enthusiasm about rejoining the band, reflecting on the lessons learned from his previous departure. Navarro, who has reconnected with the band after a period of absence due to health issues, shared his current sentiment: “I’m just excited. I’m living in the moment right now. We’re having a good time. We’ve broken up like 30 times, so I’ve learned my lesson to be excited about where we’re at. It feels the best it felt in maybe ever.”

Navarro also addressed the evolution of the band’s dynamics, noting that past internal conflicts contributed to the intensity of their performances. However, he observed that the band’s current state is characterized by a different kind of energy: “The inner turmoil added to the angst and the ferocity onstage. That doesn’t exist anymore, so we’ve moved into this new realm of exploration in sound, which is much more healing.”

The guitarist’s return comes after he dealt with long-term effects of COVID-19, which led to Troy Van Leeuwen stepping in during the Spirits On Fire tour. Despite not being fully healed, Navarro has rejoined Jane’s Addiction, bringing renewed energy and optimism to the group.

Jane’s Addiction’s frontman Perry Farrell has been vocal about his excitement regarding Navarro’s return. In a recent Instagram post, Farrell shared his sentiments: “It’s impossible to try and put this feeling into words, it needs to be felt to be understood. I love my brothers – we have a few tickets left for the European tour. North American fans, we just launched a tour for you today. I miss you greatly. If you want to buy tickets ahead of the general on sale use the password REDEMPTION. I can’t wait to see you all soon.”

In addition to their reunion, Jane’s Addiction has released new music, marking their first new song in years with the original lineup. The track, titled ‘Imminent Redemption,’ signifies a significant moment for the band, celebrating both their return and their ongoing creative evolution.
