Bret Michaels has announced that Poison will reunite with all its original members for a special 40th-anniversary tour. The exciting news was revealed during one of Michaels’ recent performances, as captured in a video posted by music journalist Jeremy White. In the video, Michaels shared the thrilling update with fans: “40 year anniversary, 1986-2026, right back here, all original Poison,” he declared. “C.C. DeVille, Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall right back here. Wouldn’t that be an awesome night? Till then, let’s live in the moment right now.”
The upcoming tour will mark four decades since Poison first burst onto the scene in 1986, celebrating the band’s legacy with its original lineup. This reunion is expected to bring a wave of nostalgia and excitement for fans who have followed the band throughout their storied career.
Earlier this year, Michaels had hinted at the possibility of reuniting with the original Poison lineup, expressing his enthusiasm for such an event. In an interview, he noted, “One million percent. I was grateful to be out there again. With Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard and to be out there with Joan Jett, I one thousand percent see that [kind of thing happening again].”
The announcement comes on the heels of Poison’s most recent tour in 2022, which was part of a massive stadium tour that also featured Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Joan Jett. The tour included a notable performance at Comerica Park in Detroit on July 10. Prior to that, Poison’s last headlining tour was in 2018, which saw them perform at Pine Knob on June 8.
Fans can look forward to celebrating Poison’s 40-year legacy with the classic lineup, as the band prepares to hit the road for what promises to be a memorable tour.
