Randy Blythe, frontman of LAMB OF GOD, has announced a series of spoken-word and Q&A events to coincide with the release of his upcoming book, Just Beyond The Light: Making Peace With The Wars Inside Our Head, due February 18, 2025, via Grand Central Publishing. The events will include a live performance, audience interaction, and a signed copy of the book. Tickets are available through RandyBlythe.com.
About Just Beyond The Light
The book is described as a “tight, concise roadmap” for maintaining a proper perspective in life, even during challenging times. Written in Blythe’s signature conversational style, it blends hard-edged reality with humor and wit. Blythe draws on personal experiences, from his tumultuous past to his journey toward sobriety, as well as reflections on art, touring, and leaving a positive impact. It’s a follow-up to his bestselling memoir Dark Days and offers a hopeful outlook for navigating life’s struggles.
Blythe’s Candid Message to Fans
On Instagram, Blythe clarified the nature of these events, emphasizing they are for mature audiences. He explained:
- While part of the performance includes a brief reading from the book, the majority will feature storytelling about his life, including his struggles with substance abuse and the often chaotic consequences of that period.
- Some stories will be humorous, while others will be deeply emotional or sobering.
- He strongly advises against bringing children, saying, “Leave the kids at home…you don’t want to have to answer the questions your 8-year-old will have after hearing some of this stuff.”
Tour Dates
The tour will begin on February 19 in Philadelphia, PA, and cover cities across the U.S. and Canada, concluding on March 14 in San Diego, CA.
