METALLICA’s philanthropic foundation, All Within My Hands (AWMH), has donated $100,000 to aid disaster relief efforts in communities devastated by Hurricane Helene. The storm, which made landfall on Thursday, September 26, has caused widespread destruction across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. It is now the third-deadliest storm to hit the U.S. this century, claiming over 215 lives and leaving hundreds unaccounted for. The historic flooding and impassable roads have severely hindered rescue and recovery efforts.
Direct Impact Through Partner Organizations
AWMH has allocated $50,000 each to World Central Kitchen (WCK) and Team Rubicon, two organizations actively providing relief in the affected areas.
- World Central Kitchen is delivering essential food and clean water to isolated communities using helicopters and airboats. Partnering with 35 food trucks across Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee, and 16 restaurants in North Carolina and Tennessee, WCK has already provided tens of thousands of hot meals and sandwiches to families in need.
- Team Rubicon has mobilized over 140 volunteers, known as Greyshirts, to assist more than 35 communities. Their route clearance teams have removed debris equivalent to more than 400 dump trucks, working tirelessly across the impacted regions to restore accessibility and aid rescue operations.
AWMH’s Commitment to Community Support
AWMH was established in 2017 to support the people and communities that have been part of METALLICA’s journey. A portion of all ticket sales from the band’s M72 world tour is donated to local organizations, ensuring that funds directly benefit communities visited by the band. AWMH focuses on workforce education, hunger relief, and critical local services, aligning with its mission to create sustainable communities.

METALLICA covers all expenses for AWMH, along with contributions from the foundation’s board and close collaborators, ensuring that 100% of donations go directly to the organizations they support.
