Nikki Sixx has expressed doubts about the possibility of a Mötley Crüe and Guns N’ Roses tour happening anytime soon, despite fan hopes and previous discussions. When a fan recently asked about the potential for a stadium tour next year, specifically mentioning Hersheypark, Sixx responded, “We really tried. What a tour that would be for the fans. We’re still holding out hope, but it’s not looking likely right now.”
Talks of a joint tour have been circulating for some time. In March 2023, Sixx updated fans, saying, “We tried. It just didn’t work out for now. Would be a great tour. You never know.” This came after speculation in July when Sixx shared his enthusiasm for the idea, stating, “I think us and Guns [N’ Roses] would destroy the world.”
By August, Sixx reiterated that while both bands are interested, no plans have been set in motion. “We think it would be a killer tour for the fans, but nothing is in the works. We’re still figuring out what’s next for us.”
During a Q&A session in September 2023, Sixx further clarified, “It would be a great tour for fans and both bands alike. Everyone’s busy with their own tours right now. If something that massive happens, it has to come together naturally.”
Mötley Crüe guitarist John 5 also expressed excitement about a potential collaboration with Guns N’ Roses. Speaking on the *Appetite For Distortion* podcast, he shared, “If I could choose any band, it would be Guns N’ Roses. Nikki [Sixx] and I have talked about it, and we both think it would be a perfect fit.”
For now, Mötley Crüe’s focus remains on their upcoming performances, with shows scheduled for September 26 in Hollywood, Florida, September 28 in Louisville, Kentucky, and an appearance at Aftershock 2024 on October 13.
