Nikki Sixx is standing firm in his support for Mötley Crüe’s often-overlooked album, Generation Swine.

The bassist recently shared a photo on X of his iconic Chrome Hearts leather pants from the Generation Swine era, captioning it, “Generation Swine Chrome Hearts leather pants found in storage.” This nostalgic post sparked a conversation with a fan who expressed their admiration for the album.

Seizing the moment, Sixx revealed his renewed appreciation for the record, saying, “I’ve fallen back in love with that album. So many great songs, and I feel the lyrics stand on their own as well.” He even recommended revisiting one of its standout tracks, adding, “Check out ‘Let Us Prey…’”

Fans have long been curious about Sixx’s thoughts on the album, especially considering the mixed reviews it received upon release. In a previous Q&A on X, he reflected on the challenges surrounding its creation: “It was a hard album to finish, and when we released it, and it didn’t fare well, I think everybody just wrote it off.”

Generation Swine holds a unique place in Crüe’s history, marking Vince Neil’s return to the band after 1991’s Decade of Decadence and serving as Tommy Lee’s final album with the group until his comeback on 2008’s Saints of Los Angeles.
