Paul Stanley, the iconic frontman of KISS, recently hinted at the possibility of new solo music during an appearance on the Behind the Setlist podcast. While he hasn’t released any solo material since his 2006 album Live to Win, he emphasized, “I’m not done with music, that’s for sure.”
Stanley explained that as he ages, he has become more selective about his projects, recognizing that each commitment comes with sacrifices. “It really comes down to picking and choosing what you do,” he stated, affirming his passion for music remains strong.
After KISS wrapped up their farewell tour with a performance at Madison Square Garden in December 2023, Stanley shifted his focus to his painting career, while Gene Simmons continued with solo shows. Despite stepping back from the stage, he has teased fans with glimpses of new music on social media. In August, he posted about acquiring an “AMAZING Aged Gibson J200” guitar, expressing his excitement to play and write again.
While there are no official announcements for a new album or concert yet, Stanley is also involved in an ambitious project with KISS and George Lucas’s Industrial Light & Magic, planning to return to the stage virtually in 2027 through digital avatars. The future looks promising for Stanley as he navigates both art and music in the coming years.
