Etty Lau described the tension within the band, stating, “The magic that made the band so dynamic was gone, and Perry finally snapped.” During the performance on September 13 at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston, Farrell confronted Navarro, body-checking him and swearing, leading to a brief altercation where Farrell seemed to punch Navarro before being restrained by crew members.
The reaction to Etty’s post was largely critical, with users accusing her of enabling Perry’s behavior. Comments ranged from reminders about the role of an audio engineer to calls for Perry to seek help.
