In a recent tweet, Ronnie Radke of Falling In Reverse addressed the deep divisions in the music scene, using Spiritbox and Slaughter to Prevail as examples. He stated, “There is a clear divide in the music industry. One side features virtue-signaling political bands with secrets that could ruin their careers, while the other consists of those just wanting to play music that woke fans criticize. The scene needs a reset; it makes no sense anymore.”
In response to a commenter who dismissed his views, Radke remarked, “Cool, imagine Spiritbox touring with Slaughter to Prevail; you can’t because everyone hates each other. Point proven.” This references Spiritbox’s withdrawal from The Popular Monstour last year, where Radke attributed some of the backlash to Spiritbox’s fanbase.
Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante was described by Radke as “sweet,” expressing sympathy for the challenges faced by her band due to their fans.
Alex Terrible from Slaughter to Prevail defended Radke against his critics, stating, “None of us here are saints… We all act with our own interests first.” He emphasized the need for understanding and compromise in a society filled with diverse views.
