Sebastian Bach Announces New Career Plans

During a recent appearance on Fox 5 Vegas’s ‘More’ show, former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach discussed his new career plans and reflected on his acting experiences.

Bach appeared in seasons 4 through 7 of ‘Gilmore Girls’ as the guitarist who replaced Adam Brody’s character, Dave Rygalski, in the band Hep Alien. He also returned for the 2016 revival, ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life.’

When asked about his acting experience and whether he enjoyed it, Bach responded:

“I really enjoyed it. It’s an hour-long show with a lot of dialogue. The director would always say, ‘Okay, do it one time as fast as you can,’ so I’d be like an auctioneer [speaking really fast]. Then one time, my agent calls and says, ‘Sebastian, the show ‘Law & Order’ wants you to play a DJ, like a drug dealer or something.’ I thought, ‘Law & Order’ is my dad’s favorite show. So I went to audition, and I did my lines as fast as I could because of my ‘Gilmore Girls’ experience. But the guy goes, ‘Dude, slow down.’ I said, ‘Oh, Jeez. Well, I’m on the show ‘Gilmore Girls.’”

Bach also revealed his latest and upcoming TV appearances:

“I love the ‘Gilmore Girls’. And now it’s on Netflix, and I’m on the new one, ‘A Year In The Life’. My next TV appearance will be on a show on Food Network called ‘Worst Cooks In America.’”

Why Bach Started Acting

Despite his successful music career, Sebastian Bach is also known for his roles in several movies and TV series. He explained the reason behind accepting acting offers during a 2016 interview with Ultimate Classic Rock:

“Honestly, the way I look at [my appearances on] television is to promote my music. I know that’s silly, but the albums last forever, more than any TV show. MTV doesn’t play rock videos, but if I’m on ‘Gilmore Girls,’ it’s like, ‘Who is this dude? I’m going to check out his albums.’”

Bach also noted that he gets recognized for different things depending on where he is:

“I get noticed for different things in different parts of town. If I go to [famous Los Angeles rock club] the Rainbow, it’s Skid Row. If I go to a mall, it’s ‘Gilmore Girls’. If I walk around in Canada, there’s one thing they love about me, and that’s ‘Trailer Park Boys.’ Everywhere I go! I just consider myself lucky that I can do different things.”
