Shinedown has fans buzzing with excitement after posting a cryptic message on Instagram, hinting at something big coming tomorrow. In a video shared on the band’s account, frontman Brent Smith said, “Hi everyone, we’re in New York City currently. It’s coming up to 6 pm, even though it feels like midnight. We’ve been doing a tremendous amount today to get ready for tomorrow. Let’s go.”

Following the video, the band posted a follow-up Instagram story with the bold statement, “This is not an announcement… This is a warning,” alongside a countdown timer for the next day, sparking even more speculation about what’s to come.

In addition to the mysterious message, Shinedown also shared a brief teaser on Facebook for their upcoming song, Dance, Kid, Dance. The teaser shows the date January 21st on a TV screen, followed by a short preview of the track, leaving fans eagerly anticipating its full release.

This mysterious build-up comes just ahead of the release of Shinedown’s two new singles, Three Six Five and Dance, Kid, Dance, which are set to drop on Friday, January 24. Fans can pre-save both tracks now.

In a recent interview on The Mistress Carrie Podcast, bassist Eric Bass shared an update on the band’s upcoming eighth studio album, revealing that while the writing process is “85 percent done,” they still have a lot of work ahead. “We have a lot of work still left to do,” he said, explaining that the delay in new Shinedown music was partly due to his own debut solo album and the release of the song I Had A Name on February 28.

Bass further elaborated on the importance of focusing on one project at a time to ensure the quality of their music. “If I want the Shinedown record to be great, then that’s all I have to be doing at the time,” he explained.

In November 2024, Shinedown teased their new album’s themes, revealing it would draw heavily from personal experiences and creativity. They also shared their desire to push the boundaries of rock and roll and create music that resonates with their audience.

With new singles on the horizon and an album in the works, Shinedown fans have a lot to look forward to in 2025. Keep an eye on their social media for further updates as the countdown continues.
