Slipknot’s Sid Wilson Suffers Serious Burns in Farm Accident
Sid Wilson, DJ for the metal band Slipknot, has reported suffering “serious burns” following an accident on his farm. The incident occurred on August 23, when Wilson, 47, was attempting to ignite a pile of plant trimmings. The situation escalated, leading to an explosion that caused second-degree burns.
Injuries and Recovery
Wilson shared details of the accident on social media, stating, “Hi everyone. I had an explosion in front of my face. I’m fine, I’m going to be fine. But I have some serious burns on my face and arms. I’m singed all over. My eyebrows are singed. My mouth is covered in blisters. My arms are pretty badly affected.” Despite the severity of his injuries, he attempted to keep a light-hearted tone, joking about his singed eyebrows and suggesting that his blisters could be seen as a cheap Botox treatment.
Kelly Osbourne’s Reaction
Wilson’s wife, Kelly Osbourne, also commented on the incident via her Instagram story. She noted, “That’s why you don’t mess around with a pile of fuel. He literally set himself on fire. Everything exploded.” The exact details of how the accident happened remain unclear, but it appears that handling flammable materials may have contributed to the explosion.
Upcoming Performances
Despite his injuries, Wilson is expected to return to the stage soon. Slipknot has announced that he will rejoin the band for their performance at the Rocklahoma Festival on September 1, 2024. Fans can look forward to seeing him back with Corey Taylor and the rest of Slipknot as they continue their tour.
Wishing Sid Wilson a swift and full recovery as he prepares to get back to performing with Slipknot.
