Courtney LaPlante, frontwoman of Spiritbox, stirred the pot during an interview with Igor Miranda by naming Motionless In White (MIW) as the “best-sounding band” in their genre. LaPlante, who first met MIW during the 2012 Warped Tour, praised their live performances:
“Motionless In White, amazing band. They are so good live. I would say that they are the best-sounding band in our world. If I had to choose one band that had the best-sounding front of house, it’s them. They are the one to beat.”
Her comments might irk Falling In Reverse’s Ronnie Radke, who has publicly feuded with MIW frontman Chris Cerulli. Radke has taken multiple jabs at Cerulli and MIW over the years.
In one instance, an MIW fan shared a meme on X mocking the idea that Falling In Reverse is better than MIW. Radke responded:
“They’re so much better… at selling less tickets.”
Radke has also mocked Cerulli’s appearance and dismissed their so-called “beef,” claiming in an interview with Rock Feed:
“It’s not like a beef. The actual members are cool, I have a problem with Chris. He doesn’t respond… People think that means he doesn’t care. Oh, he cares.”
Interestingly, all three bands—Spiritbox, MIW, and Falling In Reverse—are scheduled to perform at the Graspop Metal Meeting next year, raising anticipation over whether this rivalry might spill over into the festival atmosphere.
LaPlante’s comments could further intensify the drama, though they also underscore her admiration for MIW’s exceptional live sound, setting aside the personal tensions brewing between Radke and Cerulli.
