In the summer of 2024, the iconic bands Styx and Foreigner are embarking on an exciting tour, with John Waite joining as a special guest. Named “The Renegades & Juke Box Heroes,” the tour starts on June 11 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and concludes on August 28 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Fans can snag tickets from December 8, starting at $45.

This collaboration marks the first joint tour for Styx and Foreigner since 2014. Foreigner’s lead singer, Kelly Hansen, expresses his enthusiasm for touring with Styx, praising their professionalism and reliability, while also highlighting their enjoyable and easy-going nature.

The tour is part of Foreigner’s ongoing farewell journey, initiated in 2022. Hansen reflects on the mixed emotions associated with winding down their touring, balancing the desire for a break with the acknowledgment of their achievements, and the joy of performing with close friends.

Celebrating 50 years as a band, Styx’s guitarist Tommy Shaw mentions their continuous songwriting efforts. The band has accumulated various song ideas over time, which they plan to develop and record.

Hansen also shares Foreigner’s creative process, noting the challenges of completing new material due to their extensive touring schedule, but remains hopeful about finalizing their works in progress.
