Tim Lambesis has once again found himself at the center of controversy, with new allegations surfacing that are causing shockwaves among fans and critics alike.
Recent footage has emerged online, allegedly showing the As I Lay Dying frontman mistreating a dog. In one video, Lambesis can be seen approaching a patio door, where he kicks the dog after it gets in his way. A second clip shows him spanking the dog and lunging at it aggressively with his fists, prompting the frightened animal to retreat toward the door with its tail down. Lambesis then opens the door and lets the dog outside.
These incidents follow the release of disturbing private videos last November, which documented heated arguments between Lambesis and his wife, Dany. At the time, Lambesis claimed the videos were leaked out of revenge after he served Dany with divorce papers. He also alleged that he had a restraining order against her for verbal and physical abuse.
Dany, however, denied these claims in a detailed statement on Instagram. She clarified, “I did not release the videos that have come out of Tim Lambesis. Not the ones that were released in November, nor the ones that were released today. Out of respect for me, I’m asking whoever is leaking videos to please stop.”
Dany went on to refute Lambesis’s accusations, asserting that there was no domestic violence investigation against her and no restraining order in place. “The videos Tim claims to have of me ‘abusing’ him are instances of self-defense and outbursts caused by his ongoing physical and mental abuse, as well as his repeated infidelity with hundreds of people,” she stated.
She also revealed that Lambesis had pressured her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) during their divorce settlement to prevent her from speaking publicly about him. She recounted Lambesis telling her, “In psychology, when someone hears a story of abuse in a relationship from one person, they are more likely to believe that person’s version because they were the first to tell the story.” Dany concluded her statement by declaring, “The abusive, cheating, narcissist will try to destroy your life and your name with lies before you can shine light on the truth. I am done being SILENT.”
Despite the ongoing controversies and internal turmoil within the band, As I Lay Dying has announced their participation in the 2025 Welcome to Rockville festival. The band is set to perform on Stage 4 on May 16, marking their first festival appearance of the year. Fans and critics alike are divided on whether the band can continue to move forward amid these allegations.
