Tracii Guns To Skid Row: ‘Sebastian Bach Is The Singer You Need’

In a recent series of tweets, Tracii Guns suggested that Skid Row should bring back Sebastian Bach as their new singer. Guns commented on a Blabbermouth tweet where Skid Row’s drummer, Rob Hammersmith, mentioned that the band is in search of a new vocalist. Guns wrote:

“There’s this guy I know. I think his name is Sebastian Bach.”

When a user pointed out that no one could tolerate being around Bach, Guns replied:

“I think most personal relationships go through it. It’s the money business and doesn’t have to be the friends business.”

Another person remarked that Bach is so annoying and obnoxious that no one wants to be around him, to which Tracii responded:

“That’s rock n roll. Sebastian is bigger than life and that’s why they were enormous.”

### Skid Row’s Search for a New Singer

Following Erik Grönwall’s departure from Skid Row due to health issues, the band has performed shows with Lzzy Hale as a guest vocalist but has yet to announce a permanent replacement. Rob Hammersmith recently discussed the band’s plans for finding a new singer on the Cover Band Confidential podcast:

“[We have] no confirmed shows on the books as of this conversation. We are speaking with a few people that might potentially be able to do the special-guest slots, exactly what Lzzy had gone out and done with us. We’re hoping that that can come to fruition before the end of this year. And in the meantime, we are looking for a permanent person, a permanent singer. So at this point, I don’t have any concrete announcements that I can make. But yeah, that’s the plan at this point.”

Rachel Bolan, Skid Row’s bassist, also shared insights at a convention in Indianapolis about their careful approach to choosing a new vocalist:

“We’re always writing, throwing ideas at each other. Right now we’re in the middle of looking for a singer. I hear all you guys rolling your eyes already. Our [last] singer, Erik [Grönwall], left to prioritize his health, [which was] understandable. So right now we’re just taking our time, because we have time. And we’ve got a couple guys on the radar that we’re gonna audition. And there’s also a couple of our friends that wanna do what Lzzy Hale did and sit in [on lead vocals] for a few shows. And that’s fun too. That was so much fun doing those [four] shows [with Lzzy in late May and early June].”

Although a reunion with Sebastian Bach isn’t currently planned, Bach continues to send messages to the group. He recently shared a ‘Jeopardy!’ question on Instagram that named him as the band’s frontman, despite him not being with the band since 1996, highlighting that other Skid Row vocalists were ignored.
