In a recent interview on *The Break Down With Nath & Johnny* podcast, JUDAS PRIEST bassist Ian Hill discussed the band’s setlist selection process. Hill revealed that while Rob Halford has significant input, it’s a collaborative effort involving all members. “We all have our own favorites,” Hill explained. “There are certain must-play tracks like ‘Breaking The Law’ and ‘Living After Midnight’ that are essential. For other songs, we mix things up, trying to incorporate a few new tracks from the latest album, along with some classic favorites.”

Hill also mentioned a few tracks he’d like to see in the setlist more often, such as “Dissident Aggressor” and “Sinner,” noting that while certain songs are staples, there’s always room to revisit lesser-played tracks.

In an interview with Metal Pilgrim, Halford shared insights into PRIEST’s setlist challenges, noting the balance between fan favorites and deeper cuts. “With 19 studio albums, it’s tricky to decide what to include,” Halford said. “Some songs are non-negotiable due to their iconic status. However, we always try to include a few deep cuts from past albums.”

Hill, the last remaining original member of PRIEST, joined the band in 1969, with Halford coming on board in 1973 and Tipton in 1974. After Halford’s departure in the early ’90s and return in 2003, K.K. Downing’s departure in 2011 saw Richie Faulkner step in as the new guitarist.

*Invincible Shield* debuted at No. 2 on the U.K. chart, just behind Ariana Grande’s *Eternal Sunshine*. This marks PRIEST’s fifth Top 10 album in the U.K., following *British Steel* (No. 4, 1980), *Firepower* (No. 5, 2018), *Redeemer Of Souls* (No. 6, 2014), and *Unleashed In The East* (No. 10, 1979). The album also hit No. 1 in Germany, Finland, Sweden, and Switzerland, and reached No. 5 in France, No. 8 in Italy, and No. 16 in Australia.
