ZAKK SABBATH, the BLACK SABBATH tribute band led by Zakk Wylde, is set to release a digital collection titled Greatest Riffs, paying homage to the legendary Tony Iommi and BLACK SABBATH. This compilation features a selection of iconic tracks from their albums Vertigo and Doomed Forever Forever Doomed, previously available only in physical formats. The release allows fans to experience the power and timelessness of BLACK SABBATH’s music through Wylde’s explosive performances, which have become a staple in heavy metal.
To promote the release, ZAKK SABBATH will embark on the “King Of The Monstours” U.S. tour, headlining alongside LED ZEPPELIN tribute band ZOSO and all-female IRON MAIDEN tribute band THE IRON MAIDENS. The tour kicks off in San Francisco on December 1 and runs through January, with stops in major cities like Las Vegas, Denver, Nashville, and more.
Reflecting on the longevity of performing SABBATH songs, Zakk Wylde said, “It’s hilarious to me, because we were 17 years old playing keg parties at a friend’s house and now I’m [57] years old and I’m still playing ‘N.I.B.’ and SABBATH songs at keg parties, except there’s a couple more people.”
Fans can look forward to hearing classic tracks like The Wizard, War Pigs, and Iron Man on streaming platforms, while enjoying the electrifying live shows. Presale tickets will be available from September 18, with the general sale starting on September 20.
