Kane and Katelyn Brown’s “Thank God” Becomes a Heartwarming Christmas Movie

Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn, first captured hearts when they released their duet “Thank God” on September 12, 2022. The romantic song quickly climbed the charts, reaching No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart in February 2023 — making it only the second duet by a married couple to hit the top spot since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s “It’s Your Love” in 1997.

Before their duet, Katelyn had her own music career but had never shared the mic with her husband. That all changed with “Thank God,” a soulful love song that beautifully showcased their chemistry both as partners and performers. The couple later performed it at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, where they won Video of the Year. Since its release, the song has gone 3× Platinum, selling over 3 million units.

The music video, directed by Alex Alvga, brought their love story to life — set in a stunning tropical paradise where Kane and Katelyn sing to each other under golden skies. Fans especially love when Katelyn joins Kane on stage during tour stops, with their performance at Fenway Park in Boston being one of the most unforgettable moments.

Now, their chart-topping love story is taking on a new life — as a Lifetime Christmas movie!

Titled “Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch,” the film will star Arielle Kebbel and Tyler Hilton, with Kane and Katelyn serving as Executive Producers. While they won’t appear in the movie, the couple worked closely with the production team to ensure the spirit of their song shines through.

In a statement to Billboard, the Browns shared:

“The song ‘Thank God’ is so special to us. We love performing it on stage and it’s incredible how it’s connected to so many fans. We also really love Christmas and celebrating as a family. So for these two worlds to collide, we couldn’t be more excited!”

The movie’s story follows a hockey player (Hilton) who suffers an injury just before Christmas and begins rehab at Keller Ranch, where he meets an equine therapist (Kebbel) who helps him rediscover hope, love, and the true meaning of the holidays.

Executive Producer Adam Reed praised the collaboration, saying:

“This film captures the soul and universal themes behind Kane and Katelyn’s hit duet. Their music evokes a feeling that has touched millions, and it’s a gift to bring that spirit to the screen.”

Elaine Frontain Bryant, Lifetime’s Head of Programming, added:

“We’re thrilled to have Kane and Katelyn join our Lifetime holiday family. Their music tells beautiful, heartfelt stories — and this film is the perfect extension of that.”

Lifetime has yet to announce the official release date for Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch, but fans can already feel the magic — and just like the song itself, it’s bound to warm hearts everywhere this holiday season. ❤️🎄
