The 2025 World Series is off to an electrifying start as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays face off to claim baseball’s top prize.

The series opened in Toronto on Friday, October 24, with the Blue Jays taking a commanding 11-4 win. The Dodgers bounced back the next day, winning 5-1 to even the series. Both teams then traveled to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Monday, October 27, with Tyler Glasnow on the mound for the Dodgers and Max Scherzer pitching for Toronto — promising another thrilling chapter in the Best-of-7 series.

Adding to the excitement, country star Brad Paisley performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the first pitch. Toronto-born singer JP Saxe sang the Canadian National Anthem, setting the stage for an international celebration of baseball.

Paisley, a lifelong Dodgers fan, brought his signature style to the anthem, walking up with his guitar and delivering a moving rendition. The performance was accompanied by a flyover of five AT-6 planes and a giant flag unfurled in center field, creating a spectacular start to the game.

Fans praised the performance, with comments like:

“Paisley crushed it!!! Time to PLAY BALL!”
“What an anthem!”

This wasn’t Paisley’s first World Series anthem — he’s performed in 2017 and 2024 as well, and maybe his appearances have brought the Dodgers some good luck along the way!
