Lainey Wilson once again proved why she’s one of country music’s brightest stars with a powerful cover of Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer. The performance was part of the grand opening celebration for her good friend Jelly Roll’s new downtown Nashville bar, Goodnight Nashville, and fans couldn’t get enough.

Wilson’s performance at Jelly Roll’s bar wasn’t just a special moment—it was a full-circle one. The two artists share a strong friendship and a history of musical collaboration. Their 2023 duet, Save Me, from Jelly Roll’s debut country album Whitsitt Chapel, became a massive hit, earning them a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville, located at 209 Broadway, isn’t far from Wilson’s own honky-tonk, Bell Bottoms Up Bar, at 120 3rd Avenue South. The two artists are now neighbors in more ways than one.

“For years, I’ve said if I ever had a bar on Broadway, I’d name it Bell Bottoms Up,” Wilson told Fox Business. “I’ve had that idea for a long time, and I think we kind of spoke it into existence.”

Wilson wants her bar to reflect her signature Bell Bottom Country vibe. “I want people to feel like they can come in, be themselves, and lean into the things that make them unique,” she explained. “It’s going to tell a story—and I’m a sucker for a good story.”

Her bar now stands where Florida Georgia Line’s iconic FGL House once was, filling the space with a fresh country energy following the duo’s split.

Not only are Wilson and Jelly Roll close friends and business neighbors, but they’re also battling for the top spot on the country charts. Jelly Roll currently holds No. 1 with Liar, while Wilson is right behind at No. 2 with 4X4XU, a song inspired by her fiancé, Devlin “Duck” Hodges.

With her electrifying Livin’ On A Prayer performance and her continued success, Wilson shows no signs of slowing down. Fans can expect even more surprises from this powerhouse artist as she continues to make waves in country music.

Tanner Usrey and Ella Langley’s collaboration on Beautiful Lies is capturing the hearts of country music fans everywhere. The duet, featured on Usrey’s debut album Crossing Lines (released November 17, 2023), breathes new life into a song that has been pivotal in his career.

A Song That Started It All
Originally released as a solo track, Beautiful Lies became a breakthrough moment for Usrey, resonating deeply with his fans. Reflecting on the song’s impact, he shared, “This song is kind of the one that started it all for me. It was the first song that got real traction and has always had a special place for me.” Revisiting the track with Langley allowed him to showcase his growth as an artist while adding a fresh dynamic to the beloved song.

Ella Langley’s Perfect Addition
Langley, who has been making waves with her mix of Southern rock and country, was the ideal choice for this duet. Her rise in the industry—fueled by her debut album Hungover and hit single You Look Like You Love Me with Riley Green—has established her as a force in modern country music.

Speaking about the collaboration, Langley said, “When an impactful song like ‘Beautiful Lies’ gets thrown your way as a collaboration idea, you say yes.” She also highlighted the natural connection between them, adding, “Tanner and I had crossed paths a handful of times, and over the past year, we’ve grown a friendship through a respect for music and a synergy between our teams.”

A Fresh Take on a Classic Sound
The updated Beautiful Lies fits seamlessly into Crossing Lines, a 15-track album that blends Usrey’s rugged, red-dirt country roots with melodic, introspective storytelling. Influenced by icons like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Whiskey Myers, Usrey’s sound balances grit with emotion, while also embracing subtle pop influences to create a well-rounded listening experience.

Taking the Music on the Road
To celebrate the album’s release, Usrey hit the road, performing alongside Paul Cauthen on the West Coast in December 2023, followed by his own headline shows in early 2024. The tour included a standout performance at The Basement East in Nashville in March, where he and Langley showcased their undeniable chemistry on stage.

A Standout Collaboration in Country Music
Usrey and Langley’s take on Beautiful Lies is a perfect example of how collaboration can elevate a song, bringing new depth and emotion. Their blend of storytelling and authenticity makes this duet a standout in today’s country music scene. As both artists continue to rise, this partnership is just the beginning of what promises to be a lasting impact on the genre.

Vince Gill’s performance at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in April 2013 was a highlight of an unforgettable weekend filled with musical magic. On the first night, he joined forces with Clapton and Andy Fairweather-Low to bring their own twist to classics like Lay Down Sally and Wonderful Tonight.

The following evening, things got even more exciting when Gill teamed up with guitar greats Albert Lee and Keith Urban for an electric set that included tracks like Ain’t Living Long Like This, Leave My Woman Alone, Tumbling Dice, and Set Me Up. Their dynamic collaboration was a masterclass in guitar talent, and the audience couldn’t get enough.

One of the standout moments was their rendition of Ain’t Living Long Like This, a Rodney Crowell song that’s been covered by many, but never quite like this. The synergy between Gill and Lee was palpable, their guitar playing a seamless blend of skill and passion.

The trio also nailed a powerful version of Tumbling Dice, originally by The Rolling Stones. Keith Urban took the lead vocals, while Vince Gill and Albert Lee added their instrumental magic, creating an unforgettable rendition of the song.

Beyond the incredible music, the festival serves a noble cause. All proceeds go to the Crossroads Centre in Antigua, Clapton’s rehabilitation facility for those battling addiction. The festival is a true celebration of music, charity, and the incredible talents that Clapton personally selects for the event. Vince Gill, a longtime fixture of the festival, continues to wow audiences every time.

The crowd in Nashville went wild when Blake Shelton unexpectedly joined Post Malone on stage for an unforgettable performance of their hit song “Pour Me a Drink” on October 19th.

During Post Malone’s high-energy show, fireworks lit up the night sky, but it was the surprise appearance of Blake Shelton that truly set the stage on fire. The two musicians shared a warm hug before getting into their fun performance, with Malone playfully commenting on the height difference—saying that Shelton looked taller since he was wearing boots, and he was barefoot.

This wasn’t the first time the duo brought their collaboration to Nashville. They first teamed up for “Pour Me a Drink” during CMA Fest in June and later surprised fans with another performance at Ole Red bar in July. At that show, Shelton humorously called Malone their “new adopted son in country music,” a sentiment that resonated with fans who had embraced Malone’s foray into the genre.

“Pour Me a Drink,” which has been sitting at number one on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart for two weeks and charted for 16 weeks, is part of Malone’s debut country album, F-1 Trillion, released in June 2024. The chemistry between these two on stage continues to electrify fans, and we can’t wait to see where this collaboration takes them next.

There’s something truly magical about how a song can stir emotions deep within us—whether it brings joy, sadness, hope, or nostalgia. The right song can give us goosebumps or even bring tears to our eyes. But when it comes to evoking raw emotion, few genres do it quite like country music. And if you’re a fan of heart-stirring performances, you absolutely cannot miss one of the most powerful live renditions of “How Great Thou Art”!

When Carrie Underwood’s angelic voice combines with Vince Gill’s flawless guitar solo and harmonies, it creates a performance that leaves the audience speechless. Their duet at the ACM’s Girls’ Night Out: Superstar Women of Country special in 2011 is one for the books. While the two have performed together multiple times, this rendition stands as one of their most beloved collaborations.

From the first note, the crowd was spellbound, hanging on to every word and melody. Carrie’s voice held the audience captive, and Vince’s harmonies only elevated the experience. The emotional power of their performance was palpable, and you could sense how much it meant to them. In the middle of the song, Vince’s guitar solo added a beautiful layer, allowing Carrie to continue with a voice that seemed to float on air. By the time the song concluded, the audience was on its feet, cheering wildly in admiration.

Carrie Underwood’s rise to fame began in 2005 when she won American Idol, and since then, she has continued to impress with her powerhouse vocals and record-breaking achievements. Known for being the only country artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, she has sold over 70 million albums and earned multiple awards. Rolling Stone even dubbed her “the female vocalist of her generation.”

Vince Gill’s journey to stardom began in 1979 with the band Pure Prairie League, and he went on to become a highly respected figure in country music, both as a solo artist and as a sought-after duet partner. His career includes numerous awards and collaborations, solidifying his reputation as one of the best in the business.

This duet remains one of the standout performances of both artists’ careers, and it’s easy to see why. On YouTube alone, multiple versions of the performance have accumulated over 12 million views, a testament to its lasting impact. The beauty, emotion, and quality of this collaboration speak for themselves, making it an unforgettable moment in country music history.

Ella Langley and Riley Green brought a taste of Alabama to country fans in the UK at this year’s Hyde Park show, performing their hit single, “You Look Like You Love Me.” With Morgan Wallen headlining the event, which drew a record-breaking 50,000 attendees, the concert became the largest country music event ever held in the UK.

Dressed in his classic blue jeans, button-up shirt, and baseball cap, Green got the crowd fired up before introducing Langley, who stepped onto the stage in a stunning black mesh dress with intricate embroidery. The audience erupted in cheers as she took the mic, and the two country stars led a heartfelt sing-along to their catchy track.

The song, which has become a fan favorite, tells the story of a serendipitous romance between two strangers who meet at a bar. Green strummed his guitar while Langley delivered the song’s opening lines with her sultry twang, setting the mood for the love story that unfolds.

Langley’s smooth vocals carried the chorus, where she playfully sings:

“Excuse me, you look like you love me / You look like you want me to want you to come on home / Baby, I don’t blame you / For looking me up and down across this room / I’m drunk and I’m ready to leave / And you look like you love me.”

Green joined in, adding his own charm to the mix, as he sang about his reaction to the country girl’s bold approach.

“Well, I was down at the local beer joint / With a few of the guys / When this cute little country girl caught my eye / And boy, let me tell you, she was the prettiest thing I’d ever seen in a pair of boots.”

Their duet brought a nostalgic, old-school country love story to life, and the chemistry between the artists had the crowd buzzing. After debuting the song at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater during the final night of Green’s Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour, the pair brought their collaboration to London, calling the experience “absolutely insane!”

As Langley gears up for the release of her debut album Hungover on August 2, fans can look forward to more heartfelt tracks, including “You Look Like You Love Me,” “Paint the Town Blue,” “Nicotine,” and the title track. She also announced her upcoming Hungover Tour, kicking off on August 15 in St. Louis, with stops in cities like Chicago, Birmingham, Lexington, and Nashville before wrapping up on November 8. Post Malone is no stranger to breaking musical boundaries, but his cover of Sturgill Simpson’s “You Can Have The Crown” took fans by surprise in the best way possible. During the We’re Texas virtual benefit concert—hosted by Matthew McConaughey—Malone delivered an unforgettable performance, swapping his usual rap and pop-rock vibes for a full-on country sound. With Dwight Yoakam’s band backing him up, he didn’t just cover the song—he made it his own, proving his deep love for country music.

The concert was organized to support Texans impacted by the devastating winter storms of early 2021, with proceeds going toward disaster relief efforts. Featuring country icons like Willie Nelson and George Strait, the event had no shortage of legendary talent. But Malone’s unexpected song choice and effortless transition into the genre made him one of the night’s biggest standouts.

Fans of both Post Malone and country music were quick to praise his raw vocals and authentic delivery. His performance wasn’t just a fun surprise—it was a clear sign that his musical range goes far beyond what people might expect. Now, the big question is: will he dive deeper into country music in the future? After this, fans certainly hope so!

Kelsea Ballerini and Kenny Chesney took the stage at the 56th Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards for a heartfelt performance of half of my hometown—a moment that resonated deeply with fans. The song, from Ballerini’s album kelsea, is a nostalgic tribute to the push and pull of small-town life, something both artists know well as proud Tennessee natives.

With a stage design that reflected the warmth of Knoxville, Tennessee—Ballerini’s hometown—the performance felt intimate and personal. Ballerini’s tender vocals paired beautifully with Chesney’s rich, soulful delivery, creating a harmony that tugged at the heartstrings. Their shared roots added an extra layer of authenticity, making the song feel like a love letter to their home state.

The lyrics explore the emotions tied to growing up in a tight-knit community, where some people leave in search of new opportunities while others stay and keep the hometown spirit alive. Fans and critics alike praised the performance, calling it one of the night’s standout moments. Social media buzzed with admiration for the duo’s chemistry and the song’s touching message. Many noted how the collaboration blended Ballerini’s fresh, contemporary style with Chesney’s classic country charm, bridging generations within the genre.

More than just a performance, half of my hometown was a reminder of the powerful stories country music can tell—stories of home, heart, and the places that shape us.
