Country rising star Ella Langley has had a whirlwind year, and it looks like all that hard work is finally paying off — literally! In a recent chat on Katie & Company with Katie Neal, Ella casually dropped some big news: she’s buying her very first home… and it’s in Alabama.
“I’ve splurged a little bit,” she admitted with a grin. “I actually just got my first house, in Alabama.” While she hasn’t closed on the property just yet, she’s clearly excited. “We’re getting there,” she added.
The topic came up when Katie asked how Ella’s been celebrating her recent chart-topping success. After scoring two No. 1 hits — her duet with Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me” and her solo track “Weren’t for the Wind” — fans have been curious if the singer treated herself to something special.
Ella’s answer? “I took a couple of weeks off,” she laughed, before revealing the bigger news about the house. She shared how meaningful it feels to finally enjoy the fruits of her labor after years of grinding. “It’s just exciting to see so many years where you’re not making much… and now being able to enjoy this, it’s so cool.”
So, why Alabama? Turns out, it’s all about coming home.
“It’s a really special piece of property,” Ella said. “It’s close to my parents. It’s got a horse barn on it — which, honestly, might’ve sold me.” 🐎
Though she didn’t name the exact location, she hinted that the lakefront setting and peaceful surroundings make it a perfect retreat. “Every time I go back there, it just brings me back to who I am at the root,” she said. “And when it comes to writing songs and getting into that creative state of mind, I think it’s important to have a place like that.”
Ella also gave a shoutout to her business team for helping with the stressful parts of house-hunting. “I’ve honestly been having a blast,” she said. “They handle the logistics. I’m really thankful.”
Katie mentioned that Blake Shelton famously bought land after his first No. 1, to which Ella joked, “Blake Shelton definitely has a couple more No. 1s under his belt.”
She added with a laugh, “I’m still in the ‘trying to get a tour bus’ phase… and I really want a sixth band member!”
For now, Ella’s on tour and continuing to make waves — including on some of Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem tour dates.
One thing’s for sure: whether she’s on stage or at her new country escape, Ella Langley is staying true to her roots — and fans are here for it.
