Kane Brown brought true Southern soul to the 2025 MLB All-Star Game at Truist Park in Atlanta, stunning fans with his emotional performance of “Georgia On My Mind” — a timeless classic by Ray Charles.
Standing proudly on a red, two-tiered circular stage and dressed in a sleeveless Braves jersey and jeans, Kane didn’t just sing—he connected. With only two backup singers and a stripped-down instrumental behind him, his voice took center stage as he crooned, “Just an old, sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind…” The raw emotion and warm Southern drawl gave fans goosebumps, sparking cheers so loud you’d think someone hit a grand slam.
Before the performance, Kane chatted with the MLB Network and kept it humble. “I mean, I ain’t no Ray Charles,” he laughed, “but I’m excited. Just being here at Braves Stadium is amazing. It’s beautiful.”
Turns out, Kane has been a baseball fan since he was just three years old. He talked about his early days on the field, proudly sharing stories of playing shortstop, pitching, and hitting plenty of in-the-park home runs. “I only hit one out, but I had like 25 inside-the-park ones,” he said with a grin.
This wasn’t Kane’s first time singing “Georgia On My Mind” for a big audience—he previously performed it at the ACM Awards. But something about singing it in his home state, at an iconic ballpark, made it feel extra special.
The entire pre-game show was a celebration of music and sport. From the Zac Brown Band’s stirring rendition of the National Anthem to a high-energy performance of “Welcome to Atlanta” by Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri, the vibe was electric. Lauren Spencer Smith even sang a beautiful version of “O Canada,” adding an international touch to the night.
As for the game itself? The National League edged out the American League 4–3 in a thrilling tiebreaker, thanks to Kyle Schwarber’s jaw-dropping three-home-run swing-off — earning him MVP honors.
Kane Brown, meanwhile, is having a banner year. After dropping his newest album The High Road in January and releasing his summer anthem “2 Pair,” he’s been lighting up stages on his sold-out U.S. tour. And the journey’s not over — he’s headed to Europe and the UK next. Oh, and did we mention he’s also starring in his first movie later this year, The Token Groomsman?
Whether he’s owning the stage or the big screen, one thing’s clear — Kane Brown’s got fans cheering every step of the way.
