At the 58th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, a night full of unforgettable performances, one moment truly stood out: Ella Langley and Riley Green’s incredible duet, “You Look Like You Love Me.” The performance, which took place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, wasn’t just a highlight—it earned the duo the prestigious ‘Musical Event of the Year’ award.

The song, from Langley’s debut album Hungover, which dropped on August 2, 2024, quickly became a hit. It’s now her most-streamed track with over 260 million streams worldwide and even marked her first entry into the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at number 53. The duet didn’t stop there—it soared to the top of Mediabase’s Country Radio Chart, making Langley the first female artist to top the Billboard Country Airplay Chart in 2024.

Their performance at the CMAs was a hit, with the undeniable chemistry between the two Alabama natives taking center stage. Langley and Green’s easygoing banter and connection captivated the crowd, both in the arena and at home. Langley jokingly said the song might even spark “some marriages, maybe some divorces,” while Green marveled at the song’s rapid rise, calling it “unavoidable on social media.”

Beyond the CMA stage, the pair have performed together on shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Today Show. Their collaboration has won over both fans and critics, earning the track an RIAA Platinum certification. Langley, who started performing in local bars before moving to Nashville in 2019, reflected on her journey with gratitude, especially as she shared the stage with Green to receive such a major award.

Green, whose music echoes the traditional sounds of country legends like Johnny Cash, has also seen a rise in popularity. After the success of their duet, he hit the road with international tours, including a headlining spot at the Ridin’ Hearts festival in Australia. Green shared his excitement about his growing global fanbase, saying the enthusiasm he’s received in Australia has inspired him to keep writing and performing.

The CMA Awards also celebrated other standout artists, with Morgan Wallen winning Entertainer of the Year, Chris Stapleton earning Male Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year for “White Horse,” and Lainey Wilson taking home Female Vocalist of the Year. The event, hosted by Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning, and Lainey Wilson, featured performances by Luke Combs and Kelsea Ballerini, making it a night to remember.

As Langley and Green continue to enjoy the success of their hit duet, fans are excited to see what’s next for this talented duo.
