They also stopped by Seacrest Studios for a lighthearted message about missing longtime Idol host Ryan Seacrest—a nostalgic moment for fans who’ve followed their journey from hopefuls to rising stars.
But this reunion was more than just catching up. It was part of a busy week leading up to the exciting 19/BMG Takeover concert in Nashville on June 4. Alongside fellow finalists like Jamal Roberts, Gabby Samone, and Mattie Pruitt, John and Breanna brought the Idol magic back to Music City for the first time since the finale.
John shared his excitement ahead of the show on Instagram: “I’m super pumped to join great friends in Nashville for this concert on June 4th. This will be my first official appearance in Music City — a huge milestone for me!”
Even though he’s just getting started after Idol, John’s already hitting major career moments. He made his debut at Louisiana’s Cajun Country Jam over Memorial Day weekend, and next up? A dream come true: performing at the Grand Ole Opry on June 7.
John opened up about what the Opry means to him: “The first time I went, I nearly cried — I was so overwhelmed. As a country music fan and amateur historian, there’s no place bigger than the Grand Ole Opry. This has been my #1 dream, and thanks to all your support, it’s finally happening. I’m beyond grateful — glory be to God!”
Meanwhile, Breanna’s original song “Higher” is making waves after its debut at the Idol Takeover, showcasing her growth as an artist.
