Fresh off their viral hit “You Look Like You Love Me,” Riley Green and Ella Langley are back with another powerful duet—this time, a deeply emotional ballad titled “Don’t Mind If I Do.” This touching track also serves as the title song for Green’s upcoming album, set to drop on October 18.

A Heartfelt Confession in Song
“Don’t Mind If I Do” plays out like a late-night confession, with Green turning to whiskey to ease the pain of a lost love. As he struggles with heartbreak, he finds himself on the edge of running back to an old flame.

🎶 “And I don’t mind if I do / Drink up the nerve to show up at your house / If you wanna know the truth, it’s killin’ me not holdin’ you right now / I’m one memory away from fallin’ all the way apart / ‘Cause I might still love you / Hope you don’t mind if I do.” 🎶

Langley joins in with soft harmonies before stepping forward with her own verse, revealing that she shares the same feelings. Her lines mirror Green’s emotions, creating a beautifully balanced duet.

The Story Behind the Song
Unlike their previous collaboration, Green wrote “Don’t Mind If I Do” entirely on his own. He explained to Music Mayhem that the inspiration came from a single line:

“I wrote this song based on the line ‘I’m one memory away from falling all the way apart.’ It’s about that moment when you think you’re finally moving on, but one thought pulls you right back into missing that person.”

Originally, Green hadn’t planned for this to be a duet, but after hearing Langley’s vocals on the demo, he knew she was the perfect fit.

“I couldn’t imagine having someone else on the song after hearing her sing it,” he admitted.

A New Album on the Horizon
Along with this new single, Green has announced that his highly anticipated album, Don’t Mind If I Do, will be released on October 18—his birthday! The album features 18 tracks, including songs from his recent EP, Way Out Here. Fans can also expect a special duet with Luke Bryan on “Reel Problems.”

Green celebrated the album announcement at the grand opening of his new Nashville bar, Riley Green’s Duck Blind. Speaking to fans, he shared:

“This project feels very true to who I am, where I come from, and what I’ve learned along the way. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it!”

With heartfelt songwriting and strong collaborations, Don’t Mind If I Do is shaping up to be one of Green’s most personal and authentic records yet.
