Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy has garnered over a billion views on YouTube within three years.

She became the youngest music artist to win the Grammy Album of the year in 2020. “Bad Guy” topped the chart of the US Billboard Hot 100. Not to forget, it broke records in several other countries, including Canada, Australia, Iceland, Finland, and many more.

Growing up, she was surrounded by music as she was from a musical family. They always supported her passion for songwriting and singing from a young age.

However, The Beatles is probably the reason why her love for music started. Thanks to the legendary rock band Billie Eilish became one of the most incredible young talents we know today.

Back in 2021, she got a chance to perform with Paul McCartney at Glastonbury Festival. She says it was one of her life’s most emotional yet happiest moments. Paul was one of the artists whom she grew up listening to and also the one who inspired her. She was thrilled to share the festival’s front page with her hero.

How The Beatles Inspired Billie Eilish

Most of Billie’s fans know that she did not go to school. Being homeschooled by her parents, she was taught to express herself through art for most of her life. Her mother, Maggie Baird, said in an interview with Variety back in 2019 where she revealed that Billie and her siblings learned to write songs from The Beatles.

Maggie claimed, “It was the Beatles who taught them to write songs.”

Moreover, Billie admitted that her love for music is ninety-five percent because of The Beatles. She told NME that she could not believe she was headlining the same festival as Paul McCartney.

“I’m headlining the same festival as him and Paul McCartney… are you kidding me?” Billie expressed her love for the band, “The Beatles were what raised me. My love for music I feel 95 percent owes to the Beatles and Paul. It’s insane to think about.”

By now, it’s no surprise that most of her favorite songs are from The Beatles. She has also covered a few of their songs, including Something and I Will. One of her famous covers was of ‘Yesterday‘ to honor and remember The Beatles’ legacy in the 2020 Oscars ceremony.

Paul also praised Billie and expressed his appreciation and love for her music.

On a call with ALT 98.7 hosts Booker and Stryker, he was asked if he listens to any modern musicians, and he said, “I suppose the answer is no, but that’s a boring answer; how about Billie Eilish? She’s good, you know? You just get some people who come along, and they’re just good. There’s a lot of people out there who are good… And you get some people saying,g ‘oh, today’s music isn’t as good as it used to be’ and I say, Yea,h it is!”

Well, who doesn’t love The Beetles?! Even after more than 60 years, the band is still mesmerizing and inspiring artists all around the globe. Even back in the day, many new bands and musicians looked up to the band for inspiration and this legacy still continues to this day.

As Beetles fans ourselves, it feels amazing that the new generation is keeping their legacy alive. Their music reminds us that The Beatles are no ordinary band. We are certain that they will keep inspiring everyone with their music forever.
