A legendary bassist joined a prominent rock band on stage during their Birmingham show on Thursday (June 27). He later shared a photo collage of the event on Instagram, accompanied by a message for the band:
“When I was invited to see them at Villa Park, I couldn’t resist. It was so great to play in that venue… my lifelong football team’s stadium. Cheers to the entire camp. The best. Extra shout out to their bassist for lending his instrument. Thanks for the collage.”
### A Special Collaboration on a Classic Track
The show took place at Villa Park Stadium in the bassist’s hometown. He played a classic 1970 track by his original band with the rock band. The frontman introduced him to the audience with the following words:
“He’s never seen a concert here. He’s never played a concert here. So, we thought, something special for us and hopefully it’s special for him, too, we’d invite him out to come play a song with us. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome him!”
