Gene Simmons Warns Fans About Scammers: ‘I Never Ask You For Money’

Gene Simmons recently took to X to warn his fans about scammers.

The KISS bassist informed fans that their Facebook page had been hacked, writing:

“Friends – as I said previously, our Facebook page got taken over by a malicious hacker for about a week. With some help from Meta, we’re back to normal now. If you received any strange messages or comments from my Facebook account, please disregard them and do not click any links or send any personal information to this account.”

He continued with advice for fans:

“I will never ask you for money or your personal information, ever. It was a career scammer trying to get your money and attention. Remember to always keep your passwords and information to yourselves. I hate all these buttons we have to push, but that, unfortunately, is the world we live in today.”

### Simmons’ Message to Meta

A few days ago, Simmons reached out to Meta about his safety concerns. He posted on X to inform everyone that his Facebook account had been hacked, tagging Meta in his message:

“Hello Meta. My Facebook page has been hacked and is posting garbage, spam, and misinformation. I have been in touch with employees at your company and so far, no luck. Doesn’t matter much to me – but to the 1 million people that follow me there, who may get scammed themselves by this person, I think that matters.”

He noted that if someone with thousands of fans struggles to get help from Meta, it must be even harder for others:

“If it’s this hard for me to get help, how hard must it be for everyone else?”

Many people shared their own platform experiences under Simmons’ post. Some expressed distrust towards Meta, while others offered advice. One user mentioned their sister received no help after being hacked, despite contacting Meta and the FBI.
