After Mick Mars left Mötley Crüe, he quickly became one of the most talked-about figures in rock music. Almost every week, there’s new buzz about him on our website. When he released his solo album, expectations were high, but its immediate success surpassed predictions.

Mick announced on his own that his album, The Other Side of Mars, debuted at the top of the iTunes Charts, with rock legend Ace Frehley not far behind in second place.

Sharing his excitement on Instagram, Mick said, “I woke up at the top of the iTunes Charts and had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. I’m at a loss for words. A huge thank you to everyone for their support. Also, a shoutout to iTunes and Spotify for highlighting my work!”

This achievement marks a milestone in rock music, placing Mick and another rock icon at the forefront, ahead of global pop and rap stars like Kanye West and Twice.

Interestingly, Tommy Lee, Mick’s former bandmate, liked his Instagram announcement, sparking speculation about a potential reconciliation.

The burning question following Mick’s departure from Mötley Crüe is what he plans to do next. Given his health limitations, he won’t be taking on physically demanding tasks but will instead continue to make his mark in the music world from the studio.

Mick has hinted at a possible collaboration with Mötley Crüe for studio recordings if the band wishes to reunite musically.

Furthermore, the guitarist has expressed interest in writing an autobiography, stating he’ll undertake this project when he feels his time is nearing an end.
