Tool, Maynard James Keenan Announces One-Time Show With No Headliner And No Opener

Tool’s enigmatic frontman, Maynard James Keenan, is ditching the traditional concert format for his 60th birthday celebration. He just announced a one-of-a-kind show where Puscifer, Primus, and A Perfect Circle will share the stage as equals – no openers, no headliners.

In a quirky Instagram video, Keenan spills the details: “Greetings from Puscifer HQ. It’s time for Sessanta, my 60th birthday bash. We’ll all be on stage together – swapping songs, maybe jamming, maybe even debuting some new stuff. It’s a party you won’t want to miss.”

Flashback to Cinquanta

This isn’t the first time Keenan’s pulled off this multi-band extravaganza. “Sessanta” is a throwback to his 50th birthday celebration, “Cinquanta,” where the same lineup played a special one-off show in Los Angeles.

Now, this iconic trio is reuniting for seven West Coast dates this spring. The tour kicks off in Phoenix on Keenan’s actual birthday (April 17th) and wraps with two nights at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater. Oh, and did we mention this marks A Perfect Circle’s first live show since 2018? Talk about a special occasion!
