Paul McCartney‘s daughter Mary McCartney will be releasing a new Abbey Road documentary. It is named ‘If These Walls Could Sing’ and is very significant for Mary McCartney. The infamous studio was used by The Beatles and many other artists back in the day.

For more information regarding the studio, Mary turned to none other than her father, Paul McCartney.

The documentary explores the untold of the Abbey Road studio. In an interview with People, Mary told, “I was with him and I was like, ‘I’m going to make this documentary about the history of Abbey Road,’ and he would just sort of give me little tips. It was good! He was mulling it over and he sort of told me little anecdotes.”

Mary also revealed that Paul gave ‘Little Tips’ for Abbey Road Documentary. She talked about the history of the studio too. Mary says, “I had no idea that it was 90 years old. I’ve grown up going my whole life, but I never knew all the facts. So I’ve really immersed myself in it and really dissected the stories and I think there’s some surprises in there.”

Her idea of creating the documentary is filled with her personal reasons. Initially, it was after she found a 1977 photo of her parents strolling around the crosswalk. During the premiere in NYC, she explained “I love the picture of my mom going over the zebra crossing. She had a little pony in London. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to do [the film], I snuck her into it a few times. There’s an homage to her. She’s my inspiration.”

Mary even said that her mother’s presence is all throughout the documentary. Her mother Linda died at the age of 56 in 1998. McCartney explained that her dad, Paul agreed to get on board and create the documentary. She gasped,

I was with him and I was like, ‘I’m going to make this documentary about the history of Abbey Road,’ and he would just sort of give me little tips. It was good! He was mulling it over and he sort of told me little anecdotes.”

Mary also talked a lot about how her father loved to talk about people who worked there. All the engineers, staff, and everyone were greatly missed. She remembered, “It was somewhere where I grew up, and my mom apparently would come around and be like, ‘Could somebody babysit the kids tonight?’ That kind of thing,” she said. “It shows how I grew up there.”

Mary had no idea who had worked there. She recalled, “There was way too much to put into a feature documentary, but I picked the famous names like the Beatles and Pink Floyd when they did Dark Side of the Moon. I was also really happy to explore the lesser-known artists like Jacqueline du Pré and peppered it with stories that I think will surprise and entertain the viewer.”

The studio has been home to every major artist in the world. They have hosted The Beatles, Little Richard, The Spice Girls, and even Lady Gaga. It is also famous even in the modern world. Recently being a home to record movie soundtracks.

The documentary features Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Liam Gallagher, Elton John, and many more. She ends the documentary with a performance by Celeste which is just perfect. Something that represents the studio even to this very day.

The documentary will be available on Disney+ on December 16. The trailer is down below. And be sure to be available for such a great documentary.
