Alice Cooper fans were recently alarmed when “RIP Alice” began trending on X (formerly Twitter), only to discover that it was about a fish, not the legendary rocker.
The confusion started when a popular pet fish named Alice died, and its owner posted the news on X, causing many to mistakenly believe that Alice Cooper had passed away. The initial tweet read:
“Unfortunately I have some very sad news to share. Alice has passed from her injuries and is now eternally swimming in the Big Fish Tank In The Sky. RIP.”
This led to several humorous and relieved reactions from fans. One person tweeted:
“Twitter: ‘RIP Alice.’ Me: ‘Alice Cooper? The Brady’s Maid? Alice the waitress?’ Twitter: Nah, a goldfish died Me:
Another fan posted a photo of Cooper with the caption:
“I saw RIP ALICE trending and I got a lump in my throat. But he’s OK. Nothing to see here.”
Cooper’s Upcoming Shows
Alice Cooper is currently on tour in Europe, with performances scheduled in Germany, Slovakia, Austria, and Czechia in the coming days. His latest album, “Road,” was released last year. Discussing the album, Cooper said:
“For ‘Road,’ I wanted the band to be involved in the foundation of all the songs. I only see these guys when we’re on the road. So, I wanted them to be as tight as they are for the show but on all new material. When you have a band this good, I believe in showing it off, and this is my way of doing so.”
Joining him on his European tour are his regular band members: Ryan Roxie (guitar), Chuck Garric (bass), Tommy Henriksen (guitar), Glen Sobel (drums), and Nita Strauss (guitar). Cooper’s North American tour will kick off on July 30 in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
