MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil has canceled his upcoming solo appearance at the RokIsland Fest 2023. The Fest was is to take place from January 17-21 in Key West, Florida.

The Five-day glam rock festival is supposed to be hosted by Eddie Trunk and Neil was supposed to perform solo on January 19th. MÖTLEY CRÜE’s ‘The Stadium Tour’ alongside Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jeff & The Blackhearts was supposed to take place in the summer of 2020 but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was pushed to 2021 and then to 2022.

Due to such circumstances, Lynch Mob and Slaughter have been added to that day’s lineup. They will also feature Quiet Riot and 38 Special, who will perform as the new headliner. Also, Wig Wam will not be performing their play on the 19th.

Enuff Z’nuff, Loverboy, Tesla, and Styx are other headliners performing there.

Most of the performances are taking place at the Truman Waterfront Park Amphitheater. The attendees will have access to great hotels, local fare, and other recreational excursions and activities (sailing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, etc). The performance atmosphere will be unique to any other rock festival around the world.

Neil shared on his social media that Covid 19 is ” really kickin’ my ass.” He also said, “I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to the RokIsland Fest organizers and most of all my friends and fans. .” He wishes all the performers and attendees an exciting time. The full statement stated,

“Hello RokIsland Friends,

I am sad to report that yesterday I was diagnosed with Covid. I am okay but this thing is really kickin’ my ass. All that being said, I am unable to perform at RokIsland Fest next week. I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to the RokIsland Fest organizers and most of all my friends and fans. I am disappointed to say the least. I was so looking forward to this show.

I am hopeful that I will have the opportunity to make this up in 2024.

In closing, I wish all the attendees of RokIsland Fest 2023 a fun and exciting time with all the other amazing acts.”

However, there is other good news, as Neil will reunite with his Mötley Crüe bandmates for The World Tour with Def Leppard. With more than 1.3 million tickets sold, it will be one of the most iconic rock concerts. They will have two nights in Atlantic City, NJ on February 10-11.
