If you are a rock music fan, chances are you know who Ring Starr is, and even if you don’t you need not worry. Ringo Starr was the drummer of the most iconic and popular rock band The Beatles. Yes, he was a member of one of the most popular and famous rock bands of all time. Furthermore, Ringo is a music icon himself as there are people who consider him one of the greatest drummers of all time.

Certainly, as Ringo was part of one of the greatest and biggest bands of all time, he has stardom like no other. Starr joined the Beatles back in August 1962. Ringo was in the band for eight years because in 1970 the famous band got disbanded.

And as per the reports, the Beatles did not really go on a tour or did live concerts before they got disbanded. Instead of going on a tour or concerts they only focused on recording new tracks and albums. However, Rango stated that he have his biggest regret about the Beatles after the band broke up. In this piece, we will talk about Ring’s regret about the Beatles.

Ringo Starr’s biggest regret about the Beatles

As mentioned the Beatles broke up back in 1970 and everyone started solo music. It was really devastating news for the fans because the Beatles were really a very big thing and they still are however, people were crazier about them at that time than now. Although they were really popular and successful as a band, they were certainly successful as solo artists as well.

Unfortunately, on December 8, 1980, John Lennon was murdered and Ringo explained that he really regrets that the Beatles couldn’t perform again together before Lennon’s untimely death. They could have gone on a tour because before the band broke up they were more focused on recording new tracks than going on a tour or concerts. Or they could have also worked together and brought new songs for their fans.

Talking to Rolling Stone Ringo stated, “We still had the songs and we still could play, e could have put it together and we could have done ‘A Day In The Life’.” He said that the band could not perform or got together because of their lack of communication, in the same interview Ringo said, “With the technology, you have now we could have got it together, I think the stumbling block was just sitting around and saying, ‘Okay, let’s do it.’ We never got to that. We did in twos, we talked about it.”

Yes, Ringo really regrets that the band could not get together once before Lennon passed away and we can all agree on that. Even now we wish that John was here and could perform again together with the band, however, no matter how much we wish John is not returning and we have to live with this bitter truth. Although John passed away, we have his legendary music with us and we can listen to him whenever we want to. He and the Beatles will remain in our hearts for eternity and their legends will be passed on from generation to generation.
