Foo Fighter’s frontman, Dave Grohl is the coolest person in the rock scene. He totally lives for his craft, and even breathes it. Despite being the rocker he is, he has considered himself a ‘diehard Metallica fan until the day he dies’.
Back in 2017, just weeks before the new release of Foo Fighters‘ album and the launch of a supporting world tour, Dave was seen in Metallica’s show. The Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl stood among the crowd in the Metallica ‘snake pit’ at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena California.
Grohl has been a massive fan of Metallica for a very long time. He explained that he is a longtime Metallica listener. He also told in an interview, “I bought the first Metallica album on cassette from a mail-order catalog,” Grohl said. “I had never heard of them… and the description said, ‘thrash metal.’ That sounded scary and cool. So I sent them my $6 or $7 and a couple weeks later, I get this tape in the mail. It was Kill ‘Em All, and it blew my f****** mind.”
Also in another interview when asked what keeps him grounded. He said, “Having children that don’t give a f*ck if you’re a rock star. My kids don’t give a shit I’m in The Foo Fighters, like daddy, I need a smoothie now”.
Dave is just the coolest person as a rockstar. Despite him being a star he still considers himself a fan of another fellow metal band. He will sing as loud as he can, break his leg at a show and keep going and so much more.
