American rock band Foo Fighters recently hinted at the release of their first song after drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away in March of last year.

The Dave Grohl-led band posted a 12-second Instagram video with a riff from a song, and fans have praised the unexpected move. The clip has generated curiosity since it has the grey words “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” that fade in and out on a white backdrop.

Fans have been speculating over whether the late Hawkins is behind the kit in the song or if it is Dave Grohl due to the music, which includes a snappy riff and thundering drumming. There isn’t much more information currently available about it. However, Dave Grohl’s pal and School of Rock actor Jack Black said, “I think so.”

Following Hawkins’ passing, the Foo Fighters said that they will continue as a group at the beginning of 2023. Since then, fans have speculated about the next drummer, with names like Matt Cameron and Atom Willard being mentioned. The former, however, has refuted any rumors tying him to the group.
