Taylor Hawkins died unexpectedly earlier this year and it was very shocking news for everyone. Many paid their warm tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. Among them were RHCP drummer Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard, and many more.

Iggy Pop was also among them, and Taylor Hawkins had helped him record drum tracks for his new album. Iggy’s latest album ‘Every Loser’ will feature two tracks ‘Comments’ and ‘The Regency’ which will showcase Taylor Hawkins’ talents.

Taylor died in March earlier this year in Bogota, Colombia. It was while on tour and it made headlines when he passed away. A statement was released by the band after he passed away. It stated,

“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”

While talking about his passing, Iggy said, “I was really sad and shocked to hear about him, I happened to know that hotel where he was. I’ve stayed in that town. The whole thing was something else. He did have a wonderful career doing what he wanted to do, and by all accounts, a good life.”

His 19th solo album ‘Every Loser’ will feature one of the last drummings by Taylor Hawkins. He recalled, “He drums up a storm on those tracks, and you can really hear it, He has this sort of bubbling quality, it’s really percolating.”

The album ‘Every Loser’ is set to come out in January. It will be the 19th solo album from Pop and will feature songs with Iggy’s drumming. During the first two tribute concerts held in honor of Hawkins, Dave broke down and remembered his best friend. Medicine at Midnight will be the last album to feature Hawkins in Foo Fighters. It was released back in February 2021.
