There are many music artists around the world however, only a few are listed as one the greatest. And these two musicians George Harrison and Ringo Starr from the Beatles are also listed among the greatest musicians of all time. Harrison was the lead guitarist of the band while Ringo was the drummer.

And I am confident that the Beatles need no introduction, it was and is still one of the greatest bands, and even though the Beatles got disbanded their music is loved and played even today after many decades. There is no other band like the Beatles and they are one of the best-selling bands of all time because they sold around 600 million units globally.

The Beatles produced many songs and several of them are globally popular, few of those songs include Hey Jude, All You Need Is Love, Here Comes the Sun, Strawberry Fields Forever, Help!, Yesterday, Don’t Let Me Down, and many more.

Unfortunately, the Beatles broke up back in 1970. Like every other members’ Harrison pursued a solo music career and he was really successful doing solo as well. Sadly Harrison passed away at the age of 58 years old on November 29, 2001. He died after years of battle with cancer.

His fans were really curious to know more about the music artist after his death and one of the many questions they asked was what was his last or final words to his bandmate, Ringo Starr. Well, it is really fortunate that Ringo has shared the quiet Beatle’s final words with him. We will discuss that further in the article.

The quiet Beatle

If you have ever watched the interview with Harrison then you would know why he was named the quiet Beatle. It was already heartbreaking after the frontman of the Beatles, John Lennon brutal murder and with Harrison’s passing, fans were devasted.

And obviously not only the fans but Harrison’s friends and family as well. A year after Harrison’s tragic death, the remaining band members Paul McCartney and Ringo were joined by Harrison’s son Dhani and they did a tribute concert for their beloved friend. Furthermore, this concert remains one of the greatest tribute celebrations ever.

This event was also a charity event that was organized by Harrison’s widow and the Material World Charitable Foundation got the profits from the concerts. Moreover, this concert’s musical director was one of the most iconic musicians and Harrison’s close friend Eric Clapton. Furthermore, many other bands and artists including Pink Floyd, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and many others.

Ringo Starr reveals George Harrison’s final words to him

Although Harrison died in California, he was in Switzerland a few weeks before his death. And according to Ringo, Harrison was very sick, and the only thing he could do was to lay in his bed. In the video below you can watch Ringo talking about the last time, he met Harrison.

He says, “The last weeks of George’s life, he was living in Switzerland, and I went to see him. He was very ill. He could only lay down. And while he was being ill and I had come to see him, I was going to Boston ‘cos my daughter had a brain tumour. I said, I got to go to Boston.” Ringo then revealed that the final words from Harrison he heard were, “D’ya want me to come with ya?”

He further said, “that’s the incredible side of George.” We can see Ringo tear up in the video which shows that he really misses his pal. After getting emotional Ringo immediately jokes just to keep his emotion in control.

Ringo Starr says he’s an old crybaby

It is pretty clear that George was not just a friend to Ringo but he was like a brother to him and it was really painful for him that he could not be with George in his last days. And it seems to bother Ringo a lot. While talking about the time he got a call about Harrison’s death, Ringo said, “I’m emotional now thinking of him 40 years ago talking about me on his tape and thinking of me.” He further added, “The four of us were great friends with a couple of side issues. And it was far out. So anyway, I didn’t know how to act. And then I got back to L.A., and I grieved, and then of course you always go through the grief.”

After Harrison’s death, Ringo flew to Los Angeles, remembering that day Ringo told, “then I got back to L.A., and I grieved, and then, of course, you always go through the grief. And George, the same. I’m such an old crybaby. He’s laying there very ill — not long. And I’ve got to go to Boston, cause my daughter’s having an operation. And so I said, Well, you know, I’ve got to go, George, and he says, Do you want me to come with you? You know, he’s dying in a bit: Do you want me to come with you? How many people say great things like that to you, really give themselves?”

Ringo not only paid a tribute to his friend in a concert but also wrote a song along with Marl Hudson and Gary Nicholson for Harrison. Ringo released a tribute song Never Without You in 2003 and this song was a part of Starr’s studio album Ringo Rama.

The same year he released the album, he talked about this tribute track and said, “Gary Nicholson started that song, and Mark brought it over, and we realised we could tailor it. George was really on my mind then.” Furthermore, Harrison’s close friend Eric Clapton also worked on this track, the guitar part was done by Clapton. So we can say that both Ringo and Clapton paid tribute to their buddy through this track. Moreover, they will never forget about Harrison and neither will we, we all will always be remembering him and listening to his music, the legendary musician is gone but never forgotten.

When talking about the rock bands of the 1970s and 80s there will always come two names Dire Straits and Pink Floyd.

Both these bands were really popular back in the day and although Pink Floyd was formed in the 60s they still rocked for decades and they still are.

However, Dire Straits is a junior band compared to Pink Floyd because it was formed in 1977, more than a decade after Pink Floyd was formed.

But they were no rookie because Dire Straits too was rocking the music scene back in the day and they have sold more than 120 million units globally.

Furthermore, the frontman, lead vocalist, and guitarist of both bands Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour are one of the most talented musicians ever, in fact, both of them are listed as the greatest guitarists.

There are even people who have said that Knopfler is a guitarist’s guitarist, well, as much as that does not make sense, neither does Knopfler’s guitar-playing skill.

This guy’s got mad skills and it is really insane, Knopfler is really the goat. And we know that Gilmour is no less, his guitar-playing skill is also next level, that’s what we all believe but what does Knopfler have to say about Pink Floyd’s frontman?

let’s find out, shall we?

Mark Knopfler’s opinion on Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour

Gilmour has shared his guitar gear with Knopfler. Back in 2015, Gilmour explained that Knopfler once showed up at a charity event just with his guitar so he asked Gilmour if he can use his amps and rig.

Well, Gilmour was a bit tensed that Knopfler would sound just like him (Gilmour) using his gear however when Knopfler started playing Gilmour was flabbergasted because he was sounding just like Mark Knopfler even while using Gilmour’s gear.

Gilmour was really impressed with Knopfler but what about Knopfler? what does he think about Gilmour? Knopfler answers himself about what he thinks of Gilmour.

In 2002 he was talking to French Guitarist magazine where he said, “I’ve played with him before. But we haven’t recorded together. I like its intonation, there is always a side “swamp”, bluesy, in the sound of his Stratocaster. But also a crystalline quality at the same time, which corresponds more to my personal sound.” He further added, “What I also like about Dave is the way he plays while wandering around the central melody, which he rarely approaches in a frontal way. It is the mark of a great guitarist.”

However, Knopfler is not the only admirer of Gilmour, it goes around because Gilmour also admires Knopfler. As per the reports, Gilmour was inspired by Knopfler which he revealed in 1985 during an interview.

He said,“Mark Knopfler has a lovely, refreshing guitar style. He brought back something that seemed to have gone astray in guitar playing. These days I don’t listen to other people with the objective of trying to steal their licks. Although I’ve got no objections to stealing them if that seems like a good idea. I’m sure that I’m still influenced by Mark Knopfler and Eddie Van Halen as well.”

And we all know that Gilmour does not hesitate to take inspiration because if we listen to Dire Straits’ Sultans of Swing and Pink Floyd’s two songs Hey You and Young Lust, we can find a bit similar voices and countermelodies.

As mentioned, these legendary musicians have played together however, it is really unfortunate that they don’t have any recordings together. Well, I bet that many people still want them to collab and certainly it would be really entertaining to see these two together again. It is clear that both of these music legends really admire each other.

Formed back in 1981 in Los Angeles, Mötley Crüe is considered or known as the most notorious band. The American heavy metal band was founded by Nikki Sixx along with other band members. So why was the band considered notorious? well, it is because they acted just like their band name. Mötley Crüe means a group that is poorly organized. And they used to bring alcohol and drugs to their live shows and they would wreck the hotel rooms.

However, that was all in the past and they have come clean now. And although they are known as the world’s most notorious band, they are also one of the fans’ favorite heavy metal bands which is the reason they were able to sell more than a hundred million albums globally.

As mentioned they are clean now however, back in the day they had major problems because of their alcohol and drug habit which we can also read in the band’s autobiographies The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star and The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band.

Because of their habit, the band was in total chaos and they started having a tiff and the band was on the verge of breaking up. However, later everyone united and blamed the frontman and the vocalist of the band, Vince Neil, for not taking his responsibility seriously. Hence Neil split from the band and started his solo music career.

Why did Vince Neil leave Mötley Crüe?

Back in 1992 the frontman and the lead vocalist of the band Vince Neil left the band and pursued a solo career in music. But why did he leave the band in the first place? well, according to the band members Neil left the band because he wanted to focus on car racing which was his hobby.

However, Neil told Los Angeles Times, the band fired him because they wanted to change the band’s genre to blues and Neil was not a blues person. Furthermore, there are also those who claim that Neil was fired because of his alcohol drinking and misaligning priorities.

After he was fired, he was replaced by John Corabi. However, after a few years in 1997 Corbi left the band. While talking about Neil, as mentioned, started his solo career, and sometime after he left the band, he released his debut solo album Exposed in 1993. Similarly, in 1995 he released his second album Carved in Stone and Tattoos & Tequila in 2010. Neil got back with the band after Corabi was fired in 1997.

Although Neil was doing a solo tour, Nikki Sixx had a problem and hated one thing about Neil, so what did he hate about Neil? let’s find out.

Thing Nikki Sixx hates about Vince Neil

After releasing his solo album Neil started going on tour and performing his songs however, even after he parted ways with Mötley Crüe, he still was performing the band’s songs and Nikki Sixx did not like it at all. Sixx said that he should not have performed the band’s tracks after he left the band just to get more audiences.

Of course, Sixx did not have any problem with Neil’s own songs but he really hated when Neil performed the band’s songs. Talking about this few years past, Sixx told in an interview, “I hate to see Vince out there on tour just playing Mötley Crüe songs, because there is a Mötley Crüe. I don’t understand that. he’s got a couple solo albums.”

Sixx points out that Neil should only sing the band’s tracks if he is with the band. He also said that unless its a tribute or even a cover, Neil should not sing the band’s song to get more audiences. Furthermore, he also pointed out that the tracks were recorded and created by all the band members so it is disrespectful of Neil to perform the band’s tracks without a band.

Back in the 1960s, there were many bands rising up and while the Beatles and the Rolling Stones were loved by many, there was this American band called the Doors that changed the psychedelic rock scene of the 60s. After Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek’s meeting in California, they decided to form a band, hence giving birth to the Doors.

They formed the band in 1965 which consisted of four members Morrison on vocal, Robby Krieger on guitar, Ray Manzarek on the keyboard, and lastly John Densmore on drums. Jim Morrison really took the band from ground to sky and the band is considered one of the greatest today.

The band was quite successful however, their 1971 album L.A. Woman took off like never before. It was their sixth studio album and after its massive hit, they started to work on a new album. They were waiting for Morrison so that they could finish their album, Krieger and others were waiting for him to get back, however, they did not know that Morrison is never coming back because on July 3, 1971, Morrison passed away.

How did Jim Morrison die?

As much as Morrison enjoyed writing songs, he was also into poetry. After L.A. Woman’s recording, Morrison went to live in Paris with his girlfriend Pamela Courson. On the morning of July 3, 1971, Morrison was found dead in his apartment bathtub.

At the time of his death, he was only 27 years old, and even though his death cause is said to be heart failure many reported that he died of an accidental heroin overdose. And although this was never confirmed, people believe this because Morrison was sensational and yet no autopsy was performed.

However, there are various conspiracy theories suggesting that Morrison did not die of heart failure but was murdered. In 1983 a British journal wrote that the CIA was behind Morrison’s death, they wanted to stop counter-culture figures.

While in 2007 a writer named Sam Bernett wrote that Morrison did not die at his apartment but he died inside the restroom of a nightclub in Paris. He said that after Morrison’s death few drug dealers dragged his body and took his body to his apartment.

Furthermore, in 2014, Marianne Faithfull who had a se**al affair with the co-founder, guitarist, and secondary vocalist of the Rolling Stones, Keith Richards told that Jean de Breteuil who used to supply drugs to various celebrities including Richards supplied drugs to Morrison and that killed him.

Robby Krieger’s Regret About Jim Morrison And The Doors

Morrison’s death was not shocking just for the world but it was more shocking to his bandmates. Robby Krieger said, “I got a phone call and I didn’t believe it because we used to hear shit like that all the time – that Jim jumped off a cliff or something. So we sent our manager off to Paris, and he called and said it was true.”

It was really sad that the 27-year-old musical genius had to die and even after the frontman’s death, other remaining band members continued the band, and the same year when Morrison died, the Doors released their seventh studio album on October 18 by the Elektra Records. However, Krieger said that he regretted releasing the album the same year as Morrison’s death.

As mentioned the band was as shocked as everyone. And obviously, even with Morrison’s death, they had to keep working however, Krieger thinks that they should have waited and not released the album soon after Morrison’s death.

Krieger said, “It was a tough time, of course. When Jim was gone, we kept going. The three of us were practicing all the time, writing new stuff. When Jim passed, we said, ‘Jeez, what’re we going to do?’ We could just give it up, or, you know, we have all these songs. Let’s go in and record and see what happens. We probably shouldn’t have put it out that quick after Jim’s passing. We just felt like that was all we could do. We could’ve sat around and been depressed. Which we were. But I don’t know. The record company, Elektra, wanted us to continue. It wasn’t that hard of a decision.”

In 1972 the Doors released their eighth studio album Full Circle and even after Harrison’s death they continued as a trio however, two years after Morrison’s death in 1973 they decided to disband.

In our life, we all make mistakes and some decisions that we can’t help but regret. Well, it is something that we human beings can’t seem to help. And many even can’t seem to get out of their past actions, however, what we must know is that we have to move on because what’s done is done we can’t change it. And by thinking about it we are only putting a burden on ourselves.

And we are all aware that it’s not a feat to move on, however, we have to try and learn from our past actions. Sometimes we may think that we are the only ones that make regrettable mistakes. But let us tell you that you are not the only one everyone has done something that they regret and that includes people who we idolize.

Talking about idol Eric Clapton did something in his past that he regrets and as the title suggests it includes the Beatles’ lead guitarist George Harrison. So what did Eric do to Harrison that he now regrets?

A love triangle between Eric Clapton and George Harrison

If you have been following these two musicians then the chances are you already know that they were in a love triangle. Both Clapton and Harrison are considered the greatest guitarists of all time and they were really close friends. Harrison even told in an interview that “He’s [Clapton] kind of like a brother.”

And as close friends, they seem to be meeting each other frequently back in the day. And as per the reports, Harrison met Pattie Boyd back in 1964 while they were filming A Hard Day’s Night and soon began dating. Later, they went to a party where Pattie met Clapton and he immediately fell for her, thus starting the love triangle.

Boyd and george

Clapton could do nothing because Boyd was his friend’s girlfriend and later Harrison got married to Boyd in 1966. However, it did not change Clapton’s feelings toward Boyd, and sent a love letter to Boyd which he signed “E.” But Boyd had no idea who it was, however, after some time Clapton asked her out but she wrote in her book Pattie Boyd: My Life in Pictures that her marriage was very dear to her. She then told Harrison about it however, it did not affect their friendship. And talking about Boyd, even though she refused to go out with Clapton she has admitted that she had feelings for him.

Eric Clapton’s marriage

Later Harrison’s marriage with Boyd started crumbling and soon Boyd divorced Harrison in 1977. She said that Harrison cheated on her repeatedly and she also claimed that he had an affair with Ringo’s wife Maureen Starkey Tigrett.

Well, it was great news for Clapton because he wanted Boyd and so they started dating, after a few years on March 27, 1979, the couple got married and moved together. However, it did not hamper Clapton’s friendship with Harrison, in fact, Harrison still remained friends with Boyd and he even called Clapton his husband-in-law.

Sadly, Boyd’s marriage with Clapton also came to an end after being together for ten years in 1987. She seems to have divorced Clapton because of his alcohol problem and more than that because of his affairs with multiple women.

Did Eric Clapton use voodoo power to get Boyd?

These conspiracy theory experts never stop making various conspiracies. Now you may be thinking how can someone make a conspiracy theory on a love story but let me tell you that there are many people who believe that Clapton used voodoo power to separate Boyd from Harrison and finally get her.

Well, it is clear that Clapton was madly in love with her and he even went into depression. Now the conspiracy experts say that Clapton went to visit pianist Dr. John who people believed had voodoo powers. And these people believe that Clapton visited Dr. John to ask him to use his power to get Boyd.

They also say that Clapton took a small box with him while visiting Dr. John and he put the box in his pocket which contained the instructions to use the power. However, it did not work because Clapton was interrupted in the middle of his mission.

Eric Clapton’s regret about George Harrison

It is known to the world that Boyd was inspired to write songs by both Clapton and Harrison. And if you are unaware then the popular songs Wonderful Tonight and Layla were written by Clapton for her. Furthermore, the Beatles’ song Something was written by Harrison and he was inspired to write the song by his wife.

As mentioned Clapton and Boyd got divorced in 1987 and later when talking about this matter, Clapton said that he really regrets doing it. Years later they divorced he was in an interview where he was asked, “Before we take the next call, America’s rocked with scandal. You had that with a wife and George Harrison. What’s your look back on that aspect of the Clapton story?”

He then replied, “It’s not… Something I regret. It’s something I regret. I wanted what he had, basically. And I took her, but it took a lot of time, not overnight. I mean, it was a long, painful process of, you know, I admired him, and I fell in love with her.”

Clapton revealed that it was a really hard and painful process and he even opened up and said that he got addicted to drugs, heroin specifically speaking. However, now it seems that the musician has moved on with his life.

As mentioned, Clapton and Harrison remained friends forever even though they were in a love triangle. Their friendship came to an end on November 29, 2001, after Harrison’s untimely death. Harrison died after battling cancer for a long time, he was 58 years old at the time of his death. It is not known if Clapton is still friends with Boyd but their love story is one of the most talked about in the world. After their divorce, Clapton got married to Melia McEnery and Boyd got married to Rod Weston.

Often, people, we work with become a part of our life and become really good friends, however, when you are working together in a band some might not work out and break up but others truly love each other and become family. And losing a friend or family is really heartbreaking.

This is what happened to the popular Australian rock band AC/DC. Back in 2017 the founding member, back vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of the band, Malcolm Young passed away because of the effects of dementia. And certainly, it broke other members’ hearts however, Malcolm’s death was more than heartbreaking for Angus who not only was Malcolm’s bandmate but his younger brother.

It seems that Angus was deeply affected by Malcolm’s death and in his new book “The Lives Of Brian,” the lead singer of the band Brian Johnson has written about it.

How Angus struggled with grief

As mentioned above, Malcolm was the founding member of AC/DC and often he is regarded as the main creative force of the band. Even the former drummer of the band, Simon Wright stated that Malcolm was the silent leader of their band. Furthermore, he was a really talented musician who contributed a lot to the music world as well as to his band.

Even though he was really talented musician, he was forced to leave the band in 2014 because of his health issues and got replaced by his nephew Stevie Young. Malcolm was supposed to get treatment for dementia but obviously, even after getting the treatment he could not recover and was eventually killed by the side effect of dementia on November 18, 2017, at the age of 64 years old.

Brian Johnson revealed after Malcolm’s death that the late guitarist was battling dementia for several years. Johnson said that the day Malcolm died was an awful day for them. He also wrote in his book how important of a role Malcolm played in the band to the point that he wrote the band’s heart stopped beating.

He also said that Malcolm was not only a really good musician but he was a great human as well. Johnson wrote that Malcolm would always pay attention to his crew and their performance, he would always make sure everything and everyone is okay.

Now just for a moment, let’s imagine how deeply Angus might have been hurt by his brother’s death. Brian was their bandmate who is like their family but Angus was with Malcolm since birth, they grew up together, struggled really hard, and they finally formed the band and rose to fame. They were together in each and every situation they were in from thick to thin. Even though they were not twins they had a very strong bond that could not be broken.

Brian knows about their struggle and how Angus struggled with the grief of losing his brother. Brian writes in his book, “He was just sixty-four when dementia that he’d been battling for years finally got the better of him. A truly awful day. When Malcolm left AC/DC in 2014, the heart of the band stopped beating.

To this day, I miss him more than I could ever put into words. He never missed a trick, from a band member’s performance to a crew member’s well-being. I don’t know how he did it. He had his demons, but he beat them, and he beat them good. His guitar playing was masterful. And behind that powerful sound, there was a subtlety that music critics could never understand.

Standing to his right onstage, I could only ever marvel at the man. But I kept my admiration to myself for the most part because he wasn’t the kind of guy who enjoyed taking a compliment. It was hard to see Angus struggle with such grief. He and Malcolm weren’t twins, but they could have been.”

Lately, in this busy lifestyle, we hardly find any time for our precious family. While we are doing all for the family, not paying attention to them; especially your little kids could take a toll on your relationship.

So, it is very important to spend some quality time with your loved ones and deepen the bond of family, and what better way to do so other than fun karaoke?

As they say, music is that one thing that connects us to each other. So be it your friends, relatives or even your own kids, just a little karaoke session is enough to brighten up the mood and have fun.

Now, the only problem with karaoke is the choice of songs as you know most of the songs do contain some inappropriate contents that might not be good for your kids.

Don’t be worried, as in this article we have managed to come up with a list of fifteen pop songs of all times that are child appropriate so that you can still bop to the great music while still enjoying some quality time with your kids.

Without further ado, let’s get right into the list.

1. Brave: Sara Bareilles

Let us start off our list with Sara Bareilles’s Brave. Released in 2013, Brave was among one of the most wonderful songs of all time and was about having the courage to speak up instead of bottling all your problems.

Written by Bareilles and Jack Antonoff, it was described as a civil right anthem at a time when there were no civil rights anthems.

Your child could be too young to understand all these civil rights things but one can never be too young to hear some wonderful and empowering messages; especially if a pop song delivers them.

2. Let It Go: Demi Lovato

We are probably sorry to all the parents out there if just the name of the song drained all your energy. If not thousands, you have probably sung along with this Disney classic probably over a hundred times.

However, if you are so sick and tired of the original version, which is quite near impossible, but if you are then we suggest you change that channel and tune into the simplified pop version of Let it Go by Demi Lovato.

The pop version still has that Disney feel with that little pop magic added to it, making it perfect for your kids to sing along with and for you to enjoy it.

3. Dynamite: BTS

Taking the world by storm, the Korean boy band, BTS has songs that are child appropriate but mostly in Korean, which could cause a language barrier.

However, don’t be sad if your kids can’t sing along to their Korean songs, as they have also released some awesome pieces in the English language.

BTS released their hit song, Dynamite in 2020 as their first English language song, which immediately became a commercial success.

With the cheerful and colorful themes along with easy lyrics, the song is very easy to sing along with and gives a fun and bright vibe.

4. Happy: Pharrell Williams

Just the word Happy is enough to make anybody smile, and especially when made into a whole song, the smile just widens.

You just can’t help but smile when you hear this song. I mean Pharrell didn’t only provided a masterpiece but also gave a reason to smile.

Giving such encouraging messages about staying positive and promoting happy thoughts throughout the songs, it is probably the best song out there for your kids to sing as it not only is a good song but is sure to put your kids in a better mood.

5. Fireworks: Katy Perry

Just admit it, even you have tried to do the part where Katy Perry shoots fireworks from her body on the rooftop, right? or was it just me?

Well, that doesn’t really matter, what really matters is the fact that Fireworks by Katy Perry has to be one of the best dance-pop songs out there.

Released almost 12 years ago, Fireworks by Katy Perry was about young people who managed to have courage and confidence in themselves. Interestingly, it has become a worldwide anthem throughout the years.

6. ABC’ by the Jackson 5

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8m7yhtPsqc

Surprisingly a 50-year-old pop classic, ABC by the Jackson 5 has managed to make its way into our list.

As easy as 1-2-3, ABC is still one of the popular kid’s bops out there. The easy and fun lyrics make it entertaining to sing to and the upbeat lyrics compare learning to love to learn the alphabet.

However, it’s quite surprising how this song has not replaced the classic ABCs despite being a such fun song.

7. My Universe: Coldplay and BTS

Another song on our list is My Universe by Coldplay with none other than the “Princes of Pop”, BTS. The song is about how the power of love transcends all things, borders, rules, genders, races, and every sexuality. Quite a message to deliver while providing such a fantastic beat.

The song is mostly in English except for BTS’s part, as they are in Korean. However, the song is a bop itself so if you can make your kid learn the song, not only are they broadening their ideas about love but also developing their language skills.

Just like BTS dedicated this song to their fandom, ARMYs, and Chris Martin to his lover, you can dedicate it to your kids.

8. Breakaway: Kelly Clarkson

Every now and then we wish for becoming a kid again but being a kid is not as easy as it seems it is during this time kids go through a lot.

From making their first friend to ending up in various situations, kids sure lots of things going on in their lives. So what better song to give them that courage to hold on to than Kelly Clarkson’s Breakaway?

Not only for kids, but Breakaway is perfect for everyone as it is all about breaking through situations and taking that leap of faith to leave our comfort zone and explore ourselves and the world.

9. Boomerang: JoJo Siwa

Released by Jojo Siwa, a famous dancer, actress, and Youtuber, Boomerang is another that will certainly become your kids’ favorite.

In 2016, Jojo released the Boomerang as a song about cyberbullying with the main message that if you give your best there is nothing impossible.

Many kids like JoJo because of her cheerful and lovable personality. So, of course, her songs would also be equally liked by them.

10. Shake it Off: Taylor Swift

Miss Taylor Swift has always delivered quality music over the years. Shake it off is just another one of her masterpieces as it became Taylor’s breakout pop anthem that signaled her transition from the country.

There are many other Taylor hits that you could enjoy with your kids but this one hits it off the bat because of the fun vibe the song gives and who doesn’t like a silly dance and singing, right?

So, go out there, have fun, and Shake It Off!!!

11. Fight Song, by Rachel Platten

Even if life sometimes brings you down sometimes, you should never give up and move forward. Fight song by Rachel Platten is another song in our list that would just not be a karaoke song but also a song that would give that hope and courage they need to move forward in their life.

The song dealt with the theme of fighting through hardships and times when you feel lost and small. The lyrics are very easy and meaningful as not only kids but even adults could easily relate to the song.

12. Just the Way You Are: Bruno Mars

One of the top musicians, Bruno Mars certainly has hits and hits lined up on his sleeves but most of his songs are not child appropriate.

However, Just the Way You Are is something else as it is a beautiful song that has nothing inappropriate and has beautiful lyrics,

The simple and lovely lyrics that come directly from the heart will not only be a good karaoke number but also teach your kid just how amazing they are just the way they are, which is very important as they are at the age where insecurity regarding their appearance might build up.

So, enjoy a slower karaoke with Bruno’s song and tell your loved ones just how amazing they are.

13. What Makes You Beautiful: One Direction

Now, if you feel like Bruno’s song was too slow and not really to your kid’s taste then we suggest you take a look at One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful.

The five-member boy band, One Direction sang about how their significant other didn’t know just how beautiful they were that they didn’t need anything else to make themselves pretty and it was just their own colors that made them beautiful.

The song mainly appealed to the teenage audience but hey a quadruple platinum song won’t look so bad in a kids’ singing portfolio.

14. Cups: Anna Kendrick

If you want your kids to learn some instruments from a very early age, then we suggest you try it with the very basics; cups!

The world of music felt melancholy when they find out about the tragic truth of the legendary drummer, Tayor Hawkins leaving the world on March 25.

He was one of the best-known drummers in the music industry. He had various roles in the Foo Fighters to make them big shots in the world of music. He helped the band and gave them a hand to reach the top.

He was a talented individual. He had the best voice of his generation, but that was not only his talent that made the whole audience acknowledge him. It was his world-class drum skills.

His talents were the perfect things that Dave Grohl was looking after, and the combo was just spectacular to witness. Everyone has someone that inspires them to take part in their goals, so who was behind Hawkins? Let’s take a look at some of his favorite drummers.

Taylor Hawkins mentions his favorite drummers

Many guitarists have someone who influences them, and many drummers also have someone they look up to before playing the instrument for the first time. There are some five individuals that Hawkins has acknowledged their presence.

He praised, the founder of The Police, Stewart Copeland, drummer for Rush, Neil Peart; the backbone of Queen, Roger Taylor. These were the name that was praised by Hawkins and in his other interviews, he even mentioned Phil Collins, the drummer from Genesis, and Steve Perkins.

These five individuals were some of the drummers that were acknowledged by Taylor Hawkins for their incredible work and skills. Let’s take a look at what he has to say about these drummers.

“He was probably my earliest, like, real drum influence,” Hawkins to Copeland. “He was my first drum hero and that had a lot to do with my brother, who’s five years older than me – I still have the Police Around the World, video which I remember him getting me as a kid when I was first learning to play.”

The first ever person to make influence the career of Taylor Hawkins was Copeland. Copeland even gave his gratitude to Hawkins in an interview with Far Out. He tipped his hat to the legendary drummer.

The next drummer we have on our list is Roger Taylor. He adored the drummer and said that he had made a remarkable print in Hawkins’s life. Hawkins told that Taylor was an amazing drummer and the person that was behind Queen’s success.

“Roger gave Queen their heavy feel and big sound,” he added; “His playing was laid back, loose, and – I use this term loosely – punk rock because he did have that sort of rough edge to his drumming, too. And he always put on a real show – he was a very theatrical drummer.”

He continued, “[Roger Taylor] swings like no one else, and that’s impossible to emulate, You know it’s him when you hear the hi-hat open up every time he hits the snare. I can play every fill he’s ever done, but I could never get his feel. I’ve tried and it’s impossible!”.

Taylor was, sure enough, an inspirational drummer for Hawkins. Now let’s talk about some choices that the fans weren’t expecting from Hawkins, Neil Peart, and Phil Collins.

These two names looked very unlikely to the fans because the band has never tried to make their grasp on progressive rock. Let’s take a look at why Hawkins has these names on his favorite list.

“The chorus beat in [Foo Fighters’ 2001 song] ‘Rope’ is a paradiddle, directly lifted from Neil Peart,” Hawkins added more. “It’s ‘The Spirit of Radio’ all the way. When we were doing the demo for ‘Rope,’ everyone thought it was my idea. But I have to say to Neil Peart in Modern Drummer: I’m sorry I stole that from you, Neil, but it was Dave’s idea to do that, not mine”.

Hawkins also stated that Phil Collins is one of the greatest drummers of all time. “People seem to have forgotten that Phil [Collins] is one of the greatest rock drummers ever to have walked the planet,”.

He added more, “I’ve been lucky enough to have had drum lessons from people like Chad [Smith] and Dave in the past, but I’d love to get a lesson from him. So Phil, if you’re out there, please come and teach me how to play ‘properly.’”

Let’s take a look at another drummer who made a great impact on the career of Hawkins, Steve Parkins.

“A big influence on me was Steve Perkins,” Hawkins continued, “I remember watching him with Jane’s Addiction … his big Afro. He was like an animal behind the drums. Not as hard-hitting as I thought he was — he’s got a lighter touch than I do. He reminds me of Gene Krupa.”

Hawkins announced his favorite drummers with happiness because they were the ones that inspired him on his drumming path. He was even happier to announce how talented those drummers were.

The world will never forget such talents like Hawkins. His favorite drummers expressed their deepest sympathy on the day when we lost a true talent.

There was also a moment in an interview where Dave Grohl and Hawkins revealed their Favorite Drummers.

In the future, there will be some artists that will name Taylor Hawkins as their inspiration just like the above drummers were his. Let’s keep on igniting this talent by listening to this artist! Here we have the list of Taylor Hawkins’s Favorite Drummers of all time.

Stuart Copeland

The founder of The Police was the first inspirational drummer that helped Hawkins on his path. He was the first drummer that inspired him with the instrument.

Neil Peart

Roger Taylor

Roger Taylor became an inspirational model because he was the one that inspired Hawkins to become a musician after visiting Queen’s concert. He even told that Taylor was responsible for the heavy and big sound in Queen.

Phil Collins

Phil Collins was one of their favorite drummers of Hawkins, he even wanted to jam with him and wanted to learn a few lessons. “Phil, if you’re out there, please come and teach me how to play ‘properly,’”

Steve Perkins

Hawkins mentioned that Perkins was another big influence on the legendary drummer. He even mentioned that he was like a wild animal behind the instrument.

There might be only a few groups of people who don’t know about the phenomenon band Pink Floyd. It was formed by Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason, back in 1965 however, in 1967 David Gilmour joined the band and ultimately replaced the original lead vocalist Syd Barrett.

While joining the band Gilmour was not well-known but now he has come a long way, he is now known as one of the most iconic guitarists and musicians. And he really deserves the title because it was his shoulder that carried the band after Barrett and Waters were out of the band.

Gilmour has helped write several hit songs for the band including Fearless, Breath, Time, Comfortably Numb, and more. And we know that Gilmour has a favorite track from the band however, which is his favorite track to play live at concerts? come on let’s find that out.

What is David Gilmour’s favorite Pink Floyd song to play live?

Well, Gilmour was asked about the track he really loves to play live and he replied that his favorite track to perform is “Echoes.” This song was the last track from Pink Floyd’s album Meddle which was released back in 1971 in. Gilmour said, “Echoes’, I would say. Was terrific fun to play, particularly on my last solo tour, and the solo tour in 2006 with Rick Wright.”

It is quite well-known that this song was written by former Pink Floyd bassist and co-lead vocalist Roger Waters however, the band’s late keyboardist Richard Wright also played an important role in the composition of this song. And according to Gilmour, the track was a duet between Wright and Waters however since Wright passed away, David thinks it is better if they don’t play the track anymore.

He said, “I always look at that song as being very much a duet thing between him and me. So that was terrific and it couldn’t and shouldn’t be played again now that he is dead.”

And just like he said, Gilmour sticks up to his words because ever since he last played the track on his solo tour On an Island in 2006.

It’s not just his favorite song to play live but he really loves this song and it is one of his favorite tracks from Pink Floyd. When talking about his favorite Pink Floyd tracks he has mentioned several songs including The Great Gig in the Sky, High Hopes, Comfortably Numb, and of course Echoes.

Gilmour is now 76 years old so it is understandable if he wants to retire however when he was asked if he plans on retiring soon, he said, “Being a musician, being a person who’s playing tours and making records is a part-time thing for me at age. I did it, I lived it and I breathed it every day of my life for 30-odd years and now I am slowing down a little bit. But it does not mean that I am any less intense and dedicated to the work that I am doing now. I have other priorities in life as well.”

He even thinks that after a certain period of time their song as well as them will be forgotten. He said when he was asked about his legacy, “our music will continue to be played for a hundred years, a thousand years, a million years? Then it will be forgotten like everything else will be forgotten.”

Back in the 1960s, there were many music artists and bands dominating the music scene and one of the rock bands at the top was the Rolling Stones. In fact, many music artists were fans of this band and they were also said to be the rivals of the legendary rock band the Beatles.

It is clear that the Rolling Stones were at the next level because without them even the Beatles would not have created much of the music we hear today, because as a rival these two bands pushed each other to give more and more.

The secondary vocalist of the band, Keith Richards once said, “You’ve got the sun, you’ve got the moon, and you’ve got the Rolling Stones.” That may sound arrogant but the truth is this band is one of a kind and it is not considered one of the greatest for no reason. Well, this is what band members think about the band what about other music artists? well, even the greatest American musician Bob Dylan said that nobody can do it better than Rolling Stone.

However, we are here to talk about the frontman and the lead vocalist of the band, Mick Jagger. Lots of fans were asking about Jagger’s favorite tracks from the band so here we have brought here the favorite track of Jagger. Find out which track it is further in the article.

Mick Jagger’s favorite Rolling Stones song

Although Jagger was in a band, everyone had their own favorite track from the band. For example, the song (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction was the favorite track of the band’s drummer Charlie Watts while Keith Richards preferred their 1968 track Street Fighting Man.

So which track does Jagger prefer? or which track from the Rolling Stones is his favorite? there was a time when people would just guess and pick a song for themselves saying it’s Jagger’s favorite however, Jagger has himself provided us with information.

And according to Jagger himself, his favorite Rolling Stones track is “Gimme Shelter.” This track is from their 10th American and 8th British studio album which they released on November 29, 1969. Furthermore, Jagger once talked about this track and said,

“We thought, ‘Well, it’d be great to have a woman come and do the rape/murder verse,’ or chorus, or whatever you want to call it’. We randomly phoned up this poor lady [Merry Clayton] in the middle of the night, and she arrived in her curlers and proceeded to do that in one or two takes, which is pretty amazing. She came in and knocked off this rather odd lyric. It’s not the sort of lyric you give everyone — ‘Rape, murder / It’s just a shot away’ — but she really got into it, as you can hear on the record. She joins the chorus. It’s been a great live song ever since”

He added, “When it was recorded, early ’69 or something, it was a time of war and tension, so that’s reflected in this tune. It’s still wheeled out when big storms happen, as they did the other week. It’s been used a lot to evoke natural disaster.”

As mentioned this track was written in partnership with Jagger and Richards and according to Richards, he was inspired to write this track by his jealousy because he was jealous when he saw Pallenberg and Jagger together and suspected they were having an affair.

This is certainly the favorite track of many Rolling Stones fans and not only Jagger’s. Moreover, this track is considered to be one of the greatest of all time, well it is no surprise because as Richards said, You’ve got the sun, you’ve got the moon, and you’ve got the Rolling Stones. And they were also giving hit after hit.
